I strongly believe they are the moses and Aaron but did not get to the promised land.we need a Joshua who is young and vibrant and have the fear of God.or even a messiah to take us to the land filled with milk and honey.we shall get there soonest but God needs to send this once away for the Messiah to come.

Very true and I have this strong believe that I belong to the Joshua generation.

Together we will get there.

President Buhari like the moses in the Bible was sent packing from the position of authority some years back but made a come back to be the leader.

This time around he did not come back with the background he was known for as a military man but as a civilian just like moses who was known to be part of pharaoh's household came back as an unassuming fellow to lead the Israelites out of Egypt to the promise land.

I don't know what anyone else believes but I strongly believe that President Buhari is the moses of our time that will lead us out of our Egypt experience, take us through the wilderness experience but may likely not enter the promise land with us.

Now let's see the allegory;

In the life of every human or nation, there is always the Egypt experience, the wilderness experience before the promise land experience.

During the Egypt experience, the situation may seem OK but it is a disguised bondage but if you decide to leave your Egypt experience, you must be ready for a very tough wilderness experience that will make you wish you go back to Egypt.

The wilderness experience is a must for anyone or any nation desiring a promise land and those who prefer to create a comfort zone in their Egypt experience will never see the promise land.

The Buhari and Osinbanjo led government are like the Moses and Aaron of our time and the years we thought were OK in the Egypt experience only seem to be because we were in great bondage to leaders who looted our treasury with impunity while patting our heads with a ticking time bomb.

The years we thought we were OK in our Egypt experience were the years our leaders fed fat on the abundance inflow of good profits from our crude oil while throwing crumbs to the floor for us to feed on.

Like the Israelites who were already frustrated with their condition and needed a quick fix, their wilderness experience was tough and very discouraging which made them doubt the competence of Moses and Aaron and in like manner,Nigerians have gone through years of frustration and in need of a quick fix but unfortunately undergoing very very tough times which is a wilderness experience for us and this has made most Nigerians doubt the competence of President Buhari and vice president Osinbanjo.

The Israelites said to Moses and Aaron,
"If only we had died by the LORD's hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death." Exodus 16:3

Yes like Moses and Aaron who made series of mistakes, it is expected for our leaders to make mistakes too but just as some Israelites persevered, prayed and supported Moses and Aaron which saw them to the promise land, let us pray and believe in the course of this seemingly "clueless" government and I'm positive that we shall get to the promise land.

Lastly, we must understand that Moses and Aaron started the journey with Israelites to the promise land but not even one of their generations who left Egypt entered the promise land but it was Joshua who eventually led the younger Israelites into it so in like manner, it just might be a Joshua who is yet unknown that will lead us to the promise land but the journey has begun and together we can channel a new course for the coming generation into a new Nigeria that will be the envy of the whole world.

Let us blame and curse less but be hopeful and let us support this government by offering viable advice and raising our voices in unity to ask questions if we are not OK with any government policy and together we will create a greater and better Nigeria for the generations to come because the journey from Egypt to the promise land will not happen overnight but we will surely get there.

God bless the Federal republic of Nigeria.
I only came to comment.

I can't call him those names even if he behaves like or worse than those. But humans ought to at least have conscience. Nigeria is in a state that calls for concern. But becos you voted in this government, you are doing everything to make them appear the savior. Let your conscience talk to you. Sanusi et el have spoken becos they have conscience. I bet you that I wouldn't be crying out if I see a single blueprint or plans to better the state of nigeria. But all we hear is past government, mono economy, corruption. For how long?

So sanusi is making sence now and now has conscience, when he spoke about the lost money in NNPC during the last regime, what happened next. We all know the answer. If the previous government has conscience, money meant to fight insurgents won't be diverted, allowed boko haram to feed on people and destroy a whole zone. sorry, the lives and properties of people in that zone are less important to the south south people

What is factual in a fallacy? Relating a jew to a fulani (a tribe that hates the Jewish race), relating a Jewish prophet chosen by God to a man elected by lying.

Let us just pray that this man performs because he's our president

Things are very hard but i believe it's for the better

We can only pray and be hopeful.

A nation whose income suddenly crashed by 60% is expected to cry.

From 100usd per barrel to 35usd and the daily crude production distorted by militants coupled with sole dependence on crude as major source of national revenue...all these factors are enough to cripple a nation.

Funny enough it is not an isolated case as Saudi Arabia is also affected terribly likewise Venezuela and other oil producing countries just that the already dilapidated state of Nigeria makes it a worse situation.

As for the banks laying off I really blame most employees who run away at the sound of marketing job forgetting that marketers are the pivot of any flourishing enterprise .

Graduates want jobs that gives them the comfort of sitting in air conditioned offices forgetting that if the company don't market, they can't be sustained.

Yes the country is hard as in very hard but this is not the time to use our tongues to bring more troubles to ourselves cos there is power in the tongue.

The OP should just shut the Bleep up, was OBJ not a military man and came back as a civilian president just like this dull and unintelligent president. So what type of analogy is he trying to draw up now instead of calling a spade a spade. From day one all the steps the man has taken has shown that he lacks what it takes to lead this country forward.

After gallivanting all over the globe on worthless uncalled for trips instead of seating back home and drawing up a water tight economic team and security task force. He wasted almost a year to put up a ramshakle cabinet full of dead woods. Now someone is trying to tell me he is the motherfcuking Moses of his time. I dont know when our youths will ever wake up and get rid of all these rubbish we call leaders. Did you see how young the Facebook CEO is, that is how future leaders of today should be. Not antiquities recycled and shamelessly acting as if they still have anything upstairs to offer. Just point to one innovative idea put forward by this incompetent gang if not all the projects initiated or started by the past government. They have been wasting our time for the past two years and deluding themselves with the useless lack luster and directionless anti corruption bruhaha, meanwhile right within themselves corruption thrives.

What an abomination that for the first time in the history of our great country the exchange rate has reached 450USD, if people still have shame in their eyes they ought to be resigning en-mass because they have no solution to the issue. OP should be very guided in order not to incur the wrath of the gods of the land. We are talking of economic marauders who have come only for onething to desperately recoup their lost investments over the years, of course they know it that they are messing up so they are also racing with time to get as much as they can. Our eyes are glued on that TSA money. They should even be publicly accounting for it every month to the Nigerians.

Are we even supposed to be in the wilderness? Thanks to the two of them, whether or not they can get us out, Hmmmmmm only time will tell. Moses and Aaron were appointed by God and they took instructions from him, Buhari and Osibanjo were elected by men who thought the duo will take them to the promise land, well what I can see is, they lack direction and the political will to cross us into the promise land and if you must bring in similarities between Moses and Aaron then remember that God raised Joshua to bring his people into the land. Moses started it, Aaron completed it, so my question is who will be our Aaron?

Yet another crap from these fellows who brew just about, anything to justify their political choices.

If I had written this kind of article about GEJ, will the @op, and his ilks agree with me?

Or you think GEJ's coming to power wasn't an exceptional occurrence?

I could write that GEJ was sent by GOD, but was misunderstood. I could liking his exit, to the situation when the prophets were hated and were being killed.

I could also liking this buhari era as the dark ages, after prophet Malachi where there were no truth, no prophet no nothing for about 400 years before John the Baptist and Jesus Christ.

I think we just have to stop this buffoonery and hold the government we voted for accountable to us and stop making excuses.

Besides, the looting thing is being exaggerated and stretched to cover up for incompetence.
