TINUBU would rather play ethnic and selfish politics by foisting his own kitchen cabinets on Buhari with the likes of Adeosun.
i know it's "winner's takes all"... that is Nigerian system, but in taking all, why not give us very best?
these guys have succeeded in destroying Nigeria's economy and it will take lot of milage to recover, but instead of working on recovery, they are busy blaming Jonathan.

The problem is not adosun or emefiele. The problem is buhari who from the day he assumed office decided to run a vindictive government. This is the real root of the spring up of economic sabotoars in the Naija delta and we can all see and feel the effect.
Buhari must apease the ND and must carry the south east along if he must enjoy the goodwill of all Nigerians.
The real problem is the president body language towards the so called 5%.

In as much as I have my reservations about Kemi... Ngozi is not an option all. First she is not an economist.... Working in world Bank does not make you an economist. Ngozi read B.Sc economics, did M.sc and PhD in Urban and regional planning... . For goodness sake.. She is not an economist. When you talk of economist you talk of people like Soludo, Mike Obadan, Olofin, Chukwudi Anyanwu (current Research Director at ADB), Ajakiye, Michael Kwanashie, Ben Aigbokan, Joe Umoh, Badayi Sani, Akpan Ekpo, Akin Iwayemi and Iyioha. On Udoma Udoma I share Melayes views... . With all due respect he is a successful lawyer and not a development economist needed to head that ministry. If am to suggest he should be replaced with Prof Akpan Ekpo who is from the same state with him or Soludo. On the CBN governor.. .. that one is a disaster who issues press statement every week. He should be replaced with a South South thorough bred professor of economics maybe Akpan Ekpo or another suitable person. These people can complement the efforts Kemi the finance minister.
. Mrsi Kemi Adeosun who is using Nigerian economy for IT and experiment is not an economist too but a Chartered accountant. That charlatan Minister needs to show the way out of the finance ministry. She is incompetent to the core.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of East London and a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Financial Management from the University of London . She qualified as a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales in 1994. So, she is not an economist.

Dr. Ngozi Okojo Iweala experience spans more than hers globally. Where Dr. NOI has entered in the world Kemi Adeosun can't and will never enter there.

Are these ones he mentioned the only incompetent amongs the rest, he mentioned 3 ministers from the South to be sacked by PMB. So non of the northernans are incompetent? People are just too fast to condemn. Melaye should start by asking himself if he's competent enough, before judging others. Lastly, i need the truth, is PMB really competent? Please no party affiliations we need the truth.

DEEPLY worried by the poor state of the economy which has brought unprecedented hardship and hunger on the masses, a federal lawmaker, Senator Dino Melaye, APC, Kogi West, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to take urgent and drastic measures, including the immediate sack of three prominent members of his Economic Team as the solution-precedent to reboot the ailing economy.
This man thinks we are all stupid 200 million mumu Nigerians abi?
Was he not flashing all over the US to blow the N7 billion we give him as salary?

Nigerian Senators, Reps earn N6.78 billion annually
September 4, 2016

At a time Nigerians are groaning under the yoke of recession, Members of the National Assembly (NASS) comprising the Senators and Members of House of Representatives have received a total of N6.78 billion as their official salaries and allowances in one year, investigation by Economic Confidential has revealed.

More from: http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/more-news/209789-nigerian-senators-reps-earn-n6-78-billion-annually.html
Money that is many times more than Obama as US president earns huh shocked
Unprecedented hardship & hunger ko, urgent & drastic measures ni.
If Baby Papa Dino is concerned about hardship & hunger of the masses, he should PERSONALLY lead a campaign by example to bring down his salary in line with our minimum wage of N18,000.
Now that will be an urgent & drastic measure, not so?
Too much effizy TALK that leads us nowhere.
BTW, does any of the zombies know why DullardPoo's body language odour has not FIXED this corrupt salary of the SINators and representaTHIEVES huh

My brother what wrong did I do? I have made some suggestions. The problem now is not about Kemi... .. She is doing a good job in a very difficult situation. Personally I don't want her to be sacked but I want her efforts to be complemented from the CBN and Planning Angle. These two are in charge of monetary and Fiscal policies of the government thus if they are headed by thorough bred economist like Soludo and Akpan Ekpo the difference would be made. However the real cause of our problem is in the structure of our economy which is heavily dependent on oil revenue that it's prices are not doing so well now and thus creating a forex supply problem needed to meet our unbridled demand for foreign made goods.
Pally, you have been excellent in your opinions since until you said this "the real cause of our problem is in the structure of our economy which is heavily dependent on oil revenue that it's prices are not doing so well now and thus creating a forex supply problem needed to meet our unbridled demand for foreign made goods" this is not secondary cause....the immediate cause is increased capital flight caused by the poor economic policies of the government.

IMF Executive Board Concludes 2014 Article IV Consultation with Nigeria
Press Release No. 15/91
March 4, 2015

On February 27, 2015, the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) concluded the Article IV consultation1 with Nigeria.
Nigeria has a large and diverse economy that has achieved a decade of strong growth, averaging 6.8 percent a year, and now accounts for 35 percent of Sub-Saharan Africa’s gross domestic product (GDP). Inflation has remained in single digits for two years, and the banking sector, which has a strong capital base, is expanding credit. The trade surplus has been declining since the second quarter of 2013 on lower oil exports and continued strong growth of imports, and gross international reserves have been falling. Meanwhile, the general government fiscal deficit and public debt have been kept low. However, Nigeria still lags its peers in critical infrastructure and has high rates of poverty and income inequality. While the economy is diverse, with services accounting for over 50 percent of GDP in 2013, and oil only 13 percent, the oil sector remains a critical source for revenue and foreign exchange. With limited fiscal and external buffers ($2 billion in the excess crude account and $34.25 billion in gross international reserves, respectively at the end of 2014), the sharp decline of oil prices in the second half of 2014 underscores the challenging but compelling need to address remaining development challenges.
The authorities have responded to a sharp decline in oil prices. On February 18, 2015, the Central Bank of Nigeria closed the Dutch Auction System (rDAS) window, unifying the rDAS rate with interbank foreign exchange market rate. On February 25, 2015, the Senate approved the third revision to the 2015 budget, tightening the fiscal envelope by lowering the budget benchmark oil price to $52/barrel.

Re: Dino Melaye: "Buhari, Sack Adeosun, Emefiele And Udoma" by rusher14:
Wallade:
My take in this issue:
It will be difficult to sack Emefiele because of the CBN act which protects the governor; sacking of Sanusi Lamido was an aberration under law. I see his incompetence everyday, the people who put him in office needed a yes man and that is the reason we have this problem.

I remember that someone, I think it was Oby E, that complained about the separated ministry of finance and ministry of planning. There are little or no sychrony between the policies of both ministries. Kemi Adeosun may be a good administrator but the condition of he economy required the combined team of experts, technocrats and economists to solve the problems. She can also begin to work closely with Udo Udoma on fiscal policies and economic planning so they can align their policies and plans.

I pity the both Udo and Kemi but they need to work with valuable minds to bail out the country.

The major issue is the master - PMB. I wonder if he listens to them. I get the feeling he doesn't allow them required space to operated. I get the feeling his autocratic tendencies is killing the capacity of his team.
Feelings do not tell facts.

Also, if you work as a member of cabinet but you area of expertise is not taken into consideration when decisions are to be made you might as well resign.

To the matter at hand, Nigeria must go through this biting period to achieve.

From Canada to Saudi Arabia, let us not talk about Venezuela, the oil industry has taken a massive hit with the reverberations leading to massive cutbacks on jobs as well as projects.

What this means is monoconomies such as ours must suffer.

The common man always bears the brunt of the indecision, maladministration, incompetence of his bosses. This covers all regimes we've witnessed in Nigeria and I would still insist mostly the last one. Reason being we made so much money for 6 years and have little to show for it.

Solutions - one might from afar question the synchrony between the budget and planning / finance ministries but we cannot conclude what is going on over there.

We do know however that the national assembly is more interested in padding budgets than serving the masses and as far as I'm concerned they should be the first to bear the angst of the people.

Raising taxes to supplement government spending has its pros and cons, it is neither right nor wrong.

Selling our dollars to Dangote at a rebate with the hope that his refinery comes on stream is a desperate measure perhaps the right one.

The sacking of these ministers would not change anything.

The Nigerian people also need to change.

As long as we are still importing Brazilian hair, fancy mobile phones beyond our true wealth bracket, buying rubber and plastic based products we can never get out of this quagmire.

We have cocoa and so we should be exporting chocolate and cocoabutter lotions not the other way round.

Government believes setting the infrastructure right - electricity, rail networks, roads and ports should facilitate rapid development.

There's no houdini or Dynamo to get us out of this problem.

We must tighten our belts, roll up our sleeves and work.

So the only name you saw listed by Dino was Adeosun? Ethnic and religious bigotry are part of our problems in this country. We have a situation whereby it is obvious that the people (Adeosun, Emefiele and others) in the economic team have been grossly incompetent and the only name you can come up with is Adeosun because she is not from your tribe.

People like you are part of the problems of this country.
The bulk stops on Adeosun desk. Forget others, the Minister of Finance charts the course and others follow. Who was budget minister under Obj, Yaradua, Jonathon? Do you remember them? Yet you recall who was Finance Minister. That Adeosun woman is a rookie Accountant. In saner climes she would only pass for a Finance Manager, but Amosun imposed her on Buhari to spite Tinubu. As for CBN governor, I have consistently argued that Buhari handicapped Emefiele by his arrogance on taking in advices on foreign exchange management. Of course Adeosun has been a disaster. CBN policies have also contributed to this problem we face today. I just don't believe Buhari alone is responsible for the problem at CBN. If Emefiele is being handicapped as you said, what stopped him from resigning?

Buhari, Adeosun, Emefiele have been a disaster so far. I supported Buhari before the election but not anymore.
