Ekiti

How are the mighty fallen
O Ekiti, land of pedantic luster
Your beauty slain upon the altar of politics.
How did you become jinxed?
Your clime now filled with all sorts:
tricksters
junkies
scalawags
agberos
A fountain of knowledge now filled with dry bones
Who is the Ezekiel to fix these bones?
Ekiti, the machinery of your fate now converted to the servant of your will
Your cerebral throne replaced with Ekitiwood
What a movie industry in an agrarian clime!
It’s got a number of suspense-filled movies:
The Vituperating Governor
Vendettas for a Fulani President
Ekitigate
Stomach Infrastructure.
The list never ends
Ekiti, you’re now unclad!
Your unthinking lust for power has driven you from a place of gain to pain.
