The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday said it has captured one Tariah Otumba Fred, a staff of the Federal Ministry of Environment in Bayelsa State for professedly being a serial fraudster.

As per an announcement issued by the commission's Head of Media and Publicity, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, a few implicating things including fake Identity cards have been recuperated from the suspect.

The announcement said: "The suspect is affirmed to have been included in falsification, coercion, getting cash under misrepresentation, mimic and other deceitful exercises.

"Fred is said to head a famous syndicate who swindled clueless individuals from general society and corporate associations utilizing the workplace of the Federal Controller of Environment, Yenagoa.

"The suspect is claimed to have opened a record in Sterling Bank utilizing the name, the Controller, Federal Ministry of Environment, Bayelsa State in which he was a signatory nearby one Mr. Training Zghadina who has likewise been captured by the Commission.
