Nscdc Officers Invade Ministry Interior Board, Frowns At The Released Promotion by stonyboy(m): 3:41pm On Jan 23, 2018
Senior officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps yesterday invade Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration and Prison BOARD (CDFIPB) as the staffs express their grievances at the so called promotion list released by the Ministry of Interior Board Last Week.

The promotion came as a shock to the officers who claimed the exercise was Selection not Promotion.

The officers claimed that the list was said to have favored officers who are Northerners than the officer from other Geo-Political Zone.

The controversial promotion was said to have touch few officers from the corps states command, which has prompted other officers that was not promoted to travel to Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration and Prison BOARD (CDFIPB) Abuja to lobby for their own promotion.

The activities of the Ministry of Interior over NSCDC promotion excise has been a case of corruption according an Assistant Commandant of the Corps who was not affected by the selection who commented on the bases of anonymity.

He said officers paid huge some of money to official of the Board for their promotion in the previous promotion in the year 2015. He said Some officers received double promotion, some were converter, upgraded and given special promotion, while some did not receive.

Buhari's administration change agenda is a waste of time without a change in the Leadership of the Board and NSCDC, he added.

According to one other officers, the Board was filled up to the brim yesterday by officers of the NSCDC who protested to pay money since the promotion was given to those officers who paid.

The place was crowded until the Board Director called the NSCDC boss ABUDULAHI GANA to come and evacuate his officers.

Finally, hope those poor demoralized and oppressed officers will eventually get some closure and their well-deserved advances on the job.

Courtesy of acquaintances in the Corps, one marked characteristic of the NSCDC, as I observed over some time and within the scope of encounters with diverse number of them is the occupational directionlessness and unfulfillment these guys have owing to countless corruption-driven deprivations and injustices they are put through buy their management in collusion with corrupt ministry of interior board members and staff; I shudder to think these are the guys we depend on for our securitization.

With Retired Gen. Dambazau's besmirched record and his immediate shady past with the Nigerian Military, appointing him a plum-job position in heading a heavily funded portfolio like Interior is another glaringly deliberate Nepotic breach of the people's trust by PMB. And the current undeserving thieving rogue, Abdulahhi Gana, who "ate" more than enough as "ACG Procurement" the former Commandant General Dr. Ade Abolurin seems to be quite over-zealous in the tasks of "lootocracy" as bidden by his masters.

Tales of employment/recruitment scams which even the maddest liar out of the BMC pathological lying lot cannot deny, we all remember the "Oga @The Top" saga. What about withholding of salaries, allowances for nko just cause? Irregularities and disparities in payment for officers on same Grade Level & step? Withholding and nepotic shunting of promotions, postings, training opportunities, further studies approvals and just about every other thing on "highest-bidder" basis? Complete irresponsibility and estrangement of the management cadre from the officers and men and the lack of credible checks in the system?

I'd castigated them for their officers dragging in-house issues to Human Rights Platforms like Ahmed Issa's widely known Human Rights Radio Program but some of the case intricacies just make you lose hope in the country to hear well-paid managements still going great distances to embezzles staff emollients and defraud them by diverse schemes and scams of various rights and entitlements being means of diversion, "ghosting", slot-sales etc.

Now, let's hope those port guys do get enough justice to be free of their "slavery taskmaster's" bonds!
