*We Need Youths In Government, We Are Tired Of Old Men*

There is need to bring youths who can drive innovation and annex the power of ICT into the present administration. The old men and women in control of the ship of this great country have not much to offer. Most of them are cut off from the realities of the 21st century where technology is driving change and economic development.

We believe we need young guys in the tech industry to be in the helm of affairs in the ICT ministry. I don't know the reason why someone like Gbenga Sesan of PIN, Opeyemi Awoyemi of Jobberman, Stephen Akintayo of Gtext Media, Ope Banwo of Afrinet Solutions, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata Jnr of Tech Trend cannot be minister of ICT with all the results they have achieved in the tech industry.

Kenya is getting it right in their ICT industry. The minister in charge is in his 40s and have been in tech industry for some times with a lot of achievements to show for his commitment to that industry.

Nigeria youths we need to wake up and take our destinies into our hands. We can't continue to mortgage our future because we are afraid of voicing out what we know is right for our future. The world is changing and the drivers of this change are youths.

Information and communication technology can transform every sector of the country especially the education sector which is heading towards total collapse because of corruption, bureaucracy, lack of facilities and infrastructures.

The first person Mark Zuckerberg met when he visited Kenya was their Minister of ICT because he knew they have something in common and he is someone they can share ideas together on ICT but the reverse was the case when he visited Nigeria. The first place he went was CC Hub in Yaba where he met likes mind and those who are passionate about what he is doing.

Everything about our country shouldn't be politicized, we need to bring in common sense sometimes. It will be common sense if we have someone who knows about ICT and with proven results heading the ministry of ICT. It will make a lot of sense, it will position us for better investment and all around development. Lets think about it. We need youths in politics, we are tired of old men.

Ur update is nothing but a reality so factual and full of words to ponder.
The tribal bigots are the helm of affair know all this but will rather play sentiment than giving to people that merits it.
Imagine a Country where the ICT minister is in his 60's and have nothing much(if at all) to offer in that field .

I wish Nigeria Youths can leave 9ja bet,Nairabet,bet9ja and other and embrace politics to wrestle out power from this old cabals. it truly begins with us.
