I hear 'sageuk prodigy ' often and I wonder. The point is not about experience in sageuk, it is about being good at acting. There is nothing remarkable /distinct about IU's acting now. She really needs lessons if she wants acknowledgement worldwide. Else, music is just OK and where she shines.

edit: after deliberating, im just gonna console myself with the idea that she asked ldw out, he turned her down cos hes so crazy about me, n she couldnt get over him thats why she decided to get a choi dong wook(se7en) since she couldnt have lee dong wook. im done

I was listening to dramabeans latest podcast and javabeans mentioned vanity among the k actresses,like only few of them manage to forgo their looks and get into character while the rest wake up with eye shadow and mascara.

I give kodos to yoon eun hye who went with little or no make up through out coffee prince or Son ye jin would totally let her looks go for personal taste or kim sun ah who actually gain weight for a role.... Its a miracle to see a korean actress actually gain weight for a role and only yoon eun hye and kim sun ah have done that,the rest just put on fat suit.

I know there is a difference between films and reality but the reason why hollywood is leading the industry is because their production is almost real..... Song ji hyo going without make up for 21 episodes in emergency couple is more than impressive in a country where looks comes before talent.
