Customarily, tell me which region in nigeria allows a wife comtrol the resources of her late husband? Both people frm south -west and south - east would send a widow packing once she lost her husband except she allows herself to be acquired by a male relative of the husband.
Sharia court on the other hand, use the formular spelt out to make sure no one is cheated. Esp. If a woman has children, most of a fathers' wealth is meant for his children where as if she remarries most of her wealth would go to her new husband.

Generally, the woman ( as long as she is doesn't remarry) has more rights to her children until they are old enough to judge and decide who they want to be with.
I am more interested in why the custody was taken from her. Weren't the children properly cared for with her? How old are the children involved? Is anyone being denied visiting rights?

if you read the Nigerian constitution very well , you will know sharia courts exist in the constitution. Decisions from Sharia court can be appealed at the sharia court of appeal and later the Supreme court.

Our naira can no longer buy any major commodity in the international market. Our case is now getting closer to the case of Zimbabwe where inflation rendered their economy down.

Today, General Babangida is enjoying a happy retire at his Minna hilltop residence after years of plunging the Nigerian economy and the Nigerian state into the dustbin of rubbish.

General Babangida apart from institutionalizing corruption also introduce the habit of handpicking political leader. It would be recalled that himself and General Abdulsalami were reported to have handpicked General Olusegun Obasanjo who was languishing in prison to immediately become president of Nigeria.

What knowledge does a sick man like Obasanjo who is mentally off balance has to rule a complicated and complex country like Nigeria? That is the tragedy of Babangida visited upon the Nigerian state. Quite sadly and to Babangida disappointment, Obasanjo paid Babangida in bad coins after helping him to become President. Years earlier, Babangida thought he can fool the united nation security council when he brought this village man to assume united nation secretary general. the gamble did not work and obasanjo was thrown out in favour of the Ghanaian diplomat kofi annan.

Like his fellow General that is General Babangida and General Abdulsalami Abubakar, President Obasanjo handpicked Musa Yar Adua and Goodluck Jonathan to assume the President and Vice President Position. This men were not prepared for the position just like Obasanjo that was brought in from the jail. How do you think Yar Adua and Jonathan will perform well in office?

It is a combination of all these Babangida wrong action that metamorphosed to the government of Obasanjo, Yar Adua, Goodluck and now to Buhari.

The Nigerian state is now having the worst recession in decades with the economy completely down.

It is on record that if this past leaders did their very best when we had a lot of money and oil was selling at a higher price, it would have been easier for Buhari to have a soft landing and then continue from there. But the opposite is the case, but Nigerian who are impatient are quick to throw stones at the government of Buhari for failing to address the economic challenges.

I think the way forward for Nigeria is for the government to restructure the country so that each states in Nigeria rather than depending on federal allocation should be able to fend for itself.


Spoon feeding the so called baby state or less endowed states can no longer work. Each states must have to look inward and find a way to strengthen it internally generated revenue.

Nigerian have to abandon this expensive american presidential system and practice a much cheaper style of government. We can not afford this huge number of federal ministers. Let many of them go and run their private business leave only the essential ones like health, education, finance, foreign affairs, sports, transportation etc. We should amend our constitution we do not need minister of states, it is a drain pipe.

Finally, I support that our national legislature should be run on part time as against full time. Our legislators can adopt e-legislator from their various home and business and communicate through online conferences and then debate and get their recommendation across. Enough of all this wastages.

To Mohammed Babangida, I wish you peace in your marriage, but your father set Nigeria back and it will take decade for Nigeria to recover. I wonder if Nigeria will ever recover.

firstly if a woman accused of adultery she dont have to provide witness those that accused her are the one's to provide and failure to do that have their punishment and all most witnesses require are three. woman said she didn't commit zina and no one has proved, that's between her and her creator. but if she is pregnant that means she had sexual intercourse, she is the one to be asked if she is accused whether its sensually or not and those that accused her most provide witnesses to proved her wrong hope you understand my writing
