Those who can afford it will buy it and there is nothing wrong with that.
There is nothing wrong in being extravagant and getting things you have no need for? I see.

To some people it might be extravagant and to others that might not be the case. I think it's up to a person to decide whether he is in need for it or not.

What do you understand by extravagance?

Its very rare to see someone buy this brand of phone for the sake of its functionality, its mostly bought for its name, and showoff.

Going out of the way in spending on things that might not have benefit or spending carelessly.

The point I'm trying to pass across is, some people can afford it and some people can't. There are different coats for different sizes and there is nothing wrong with buying what one admires and can afford even if it might not be necessary.

Some years ago, I used to buy any phone I like the week it is launched even before it gets to Nigeria market and most times very expensive e.g I bought Z10 @ N116k, I bought 2 bc I change my wife's phone whenever I change mine. I bought Samsung note 10.1 tablet @ N126k. Nokia N9 Dstv edition, can't remember the price again and the smaller Dstv Nokia phone for my wife. Even the Camon C9 and Boom J8 we are using now were bought at virgin prices the week they were launched.

I hv realized that I was stupid to have wasted so much money on those products then because the amount could have bought some numbers of blocks on my house projects.

Now Z10 is about N20k and those Nokia phones do not exist again. Oju to ba farabale, a r'imu. If you can learn to wait, you will use it someday.

Please, allow me to laugh at your ignorance then grin cheesy .

And let me also congratulate you for realizing it before it's too late.

With PMB tight-fisting, Nigerians will learn how to value money and spend it very judiciously.

He doesn't ask what shoes you wear before buying his Na. E no matter what someone else does. What maters is what you feel is right to do taking into consideration all things playing out in ones life at the moment and projected future plans.
i understand. But basically, a phone like iPhone 7 cannot wake a dead man up. Spending so much could be ostentatious. I really admire the simplicity of that guy mark that i honestly wish there were more people like him in Nigeria. Im sure he's aware that expensive clothes and bling blings like rick ross own are sold in the market, but he preferred the simple shirt, jeans and canvass. Don't you just love it? A person can buy a cheaper phone, and then donate 100k to a cancer patient. A person can buy a cheaper phone, then open a small business for a beggar yea? A person can buy a cheaper phone, then sponsor a street kid to acquire skills. All these will pay him better in the long run. Basket mouth was robbed. If he had iPhone 7, I'm sure robbers wouldn't spare it, but no one can steal the value of good deeds he has done for the less privileged. Life is so brief and temporal, it's a world of petty babbles, fleeting gains and trivial materialism. There are good gestures that bring peace to the heart in our dying days, they shouldn't be abandoned now that the sun is shining. Love for humans and respect shouldn't be based on the type of phone the person is using, rather it should be based on the person's footprints in the sand dunes of humanity.
