The Chief Of Army Staff, COAS, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, Thursday September 8, said that Army have deployed about three thousand troops to the Niger Delta region for its ongoing "Operation Crocodile Smile" exercise.

Buratai made this known when he visited Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State at the government house.

The army chief promised that the exercise is to make the region safe from crimes, stressing that the Ngerian Army know their rules of engagement, assuring that lives and properties would be protected.
