This has nothing to do with buhari or any other person. Nigeria is a third world country therefore has no visa free access to the developed world. That is the system of the world. Be enlightened!

All those of you insulting Buhari and wishing Nigeria doom, why don't you go and live in Greece, Azerbaijan etc whose passport are ranked higher than Nigeria but whose economy are in shambles? How many times was Greece bailed out by the EU? Have you bothered to disect the parameters used at arriving at such if not pure malice towards Nigeria? Despite our present economic challenges, Nigeria economy is still far ahead of not less than 45 African countries and some Asian and Latin American countries like El-Salvador. Last year or so the British passport had access to more countries than the German. Since the exit of Mr. Cameron, it behind Germany by two countries, will Britons start insulting Theresa May for their supposed ill-luck cos they enjoyed favoured position than May's era? Without out gain saying we all know American passport is highly desire more than some countries placed ahead of it, so will Americans call for Obama's head because their country ain't in pole position? It goes to show that most comments here are borne out of infernal hatred for current Nigeria leader and even if Nigerians fart at the wrong time, it must be Buhari. If most of you think Nigeria is Doomed and Benin Republic well off, I guess it better to go and take up Benin citizenship since her passport has access to more countries than Nigeria. Let the renunciation of Nigeria's citizen begin...

The great America whose passport even the dead will rise when place on its tomb is placed at no. 4 along with some countries. Can you imagine? Let be frank, Babe German and US pasport, which is your favorite? I hope Americans will call for Obama's head with this latest since he has taken America behind Germany. Naija people suck with their hate filled comments

Is Pakistan safer than Nigeria security wise? Get your fact right and stop this hatred induced bigotry. India has more than a bill ion population and up to 2000 ethnic groups and tribal languages...even hindi is not the official language..like Nigeria, Government or official language is English. Fragmentation of Nigeria is not the solution but change of mindset. If we accuse the northerners of disregard of human lives, how can we describe our attitude down south where we lynch petty thieves and celebrate those looters who placed us into this dungeon? Kidnapping, ritual murders etc ain't thses synonymous with southerners?
Amah70:
Asians somehow marched Oyibos with sense.

Oyibos created India to be like Nigeria - ever fighting and killing one another.

But shortly after, Asians showed their intelligence: Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and India went their natural separate ways to their new countries.

Oyibo who also created Iraq to fail refused to create Kurdistan country separate from Iraq, Syria and from Turkey. The region has remained volatile ever since.

Oyibo can visit anywhere with their passports, but people from the countries created to fail cannot, because political instability makes these wrong countries remain poor to be exploited by Oyibo to get richer.

No be fault of Oyibo. Asians developed sense. But black Africans, especially Nigerians siddon de look.

The **dullard** wasn't the one doing 419
The **dullard** wasn't the one commiting frauds
The **dullard** wasn't the one comitting other crimes while abroad

So, stop blaming others for what other members of the society do. We all contribute to how others see us. Instead of blabbing Buhari this, Buhari that (and before him GEJ, and before GEJ others) better roll your sleeves up and make Nigeria a better place by working hard (mind you, by working I do not mean showelling public funds into your own pockets)

The problem is that we have a VERY clueless Foreign Ministry.

They should have been negotiating with different countries in order to give our green passport more access, but we are not serious people.

Brazil used it's leverage as the host of the world cup and the Olympics to negotiate visa free access to most of Europe on return for free access for European tourists and spectators coming to see the games.

But in Africa
Sometimes I'm beginning to believe that the black man is indeed cursed.
That we cannot use our brains
It's not about negotiating visa free access.
Any arrangement must be mutually beneficial to both countries. If/ when visa free access to Nigeria is worthwhile, other countries will initiate the negotiations.

Your impossible solution:

you suggest until the blackman changes cultural inclinations. .

So you want Blackman to Change our cultural inclinations and adopt the culture of which race? Do you suggest we incline to the Culture of Europe or Asian race before we see light?

Or are you suggesting that the Ijaw, for example, to incline to the Arabic culture of far northern Nigeria? Or the Yoruba to incline to Igbo culture, or vice versa? Or all blackmen in Nigeria to incline to whiteman culture, so as to preserve your one Nigeria?

And do you know that any race or ethnic group which abandons its culture is doomed?
And you don't understand that the refusal of the major ethnic groups in Nigeria to abandone their respective cultures is why there is no synergy - no pursuit of common goal in Nigeria?

Well, this is NL, a land of all comers. You sing to people like you and they applaud.

What I mean by change our cultural inclinations is to change those hazardous things we do as a people (culture of lateness, culture of procrastination, culture of tribalism, culture of helplessness, etc)
I don't mean we should adopt anybody's culture.
Your comments show the depth of your intelligence.

Please don't believe that the Ugosample is Igbo as the moniker seems to show.

Ugosample wrote like a typical tricky Aboooki. Most Aboookis see Arab culture and religion as superior to all cultures. Thus, Aboookis want one Nigeria even if all in Nigeria are driven to the stone age. Objective? To have a larger population in Nigeria to forcefully convert to incline to Arab Culture and religion which Aboookis incline to.

As I said, your comnebts show your level of intelligence.
See you assuming that I am "Aboki"....

Oga,

India has one major tribe that sets the value systems which all the other tribes follow, and which makes the country governable and peaceful;
Hindu. https://qph.ec.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-8919e22ae4fa750eee575ab34abd5482-c?convert_to_webp=true. . Most Indians speak Hindu language.

just like the US of multiple ethnic groups has the value systems of the English which Africans and other minorities must follow or be damned.

But Nigeria has three major tribes with diverse value systems. No matter the amount of violence one group in power applies against the others to comply with the value systems of the governing tribe, it can't work; because of the strongly-held but diverse value systems, populations and convenient locations of the three major tribes in Nigeria.

If the governing tribe pushes others to the wall, civil war ensues.

This situation makes Nigeria ungovernable and a failed country, unless you don't agree that Nigeria has failed the more than one hundred million people in it, perhaps because you are at one corner profiting from the chaos of one Nigeria.

The South Sudan situation which some trickish fear-mongers like you sound off is not as deadly as Nigeria where more than three million Nigerians have been killed since 1914, and still getting killed to keep one Nigeria; one Nigeria which after more than $1 trillion earned in fifty years can't provide Nigeria with the most basic infrastructures like electricity, pipeborne water, functional hospitals, etc., one Nigeria with about the lowest life expectancy in the world.

Perhaps, because you don't know that you typify the laziest blackman who doesn't think properly, or with your selfish mindset and limited worldview, you endanger the other millions of people in Nigeria who think of tomorrow, and understand that what matters in having one's country is not how big the country, but happiness and pride with the country.

Half Education is really a disease.

But before I sign off, as you enjoy your blissful Nigeria, I would like to ask you to go and tell the Greeks that Greece can form one big country with Turkey, or tell the British that Britain can form one country with France.

South Sudan is not as deadly as Nigeria shocked shocked shocked

A country that is going through one of the worst humanitarian crisis in Africa due to the greed and power drunkenness of two men?

Eritrea left Ethopia, what is their fate today?
Djibouti is a homogeneous country, how developed are they?
Gambia is a homogeneous country, what is their progress?
Guinea Bissau is a small country, what is their fate, and how developed are they?

Rwanda had just two ethnic groups, three.
But one deemed it fit to exterminate the other in its desperation to retain power.
Malaysia is diverse, yet they have made more progress than any of those "homogeneous" countries you listed up there.

For 50+ years, Nigeria has a huge infrastructural deficit and other problems because The leaders across board are greedy, not because the country is a multi ethnic country.

Hausa man that stole money, did he build up his region?
Igbo man stole money, did he build up his region?

Even Jonathan held away for 5 years, what is there to show for it?
Obasanjo 8 years yet the roads in OTA are death traps.

So what are we saying?

eaglechild:

It is going to be very difficult to get people to understand your view point but I do.

Virtually all first world countries are monolingual, with few exceptions that may be bi or trilingual and in which case those countries' citizens speak all the component languages.

For countries to thrive and have a sense of patriotism they strive towards homogeneity as much as possible. That is how the developed first world evolved. With language and religion being the two strongest factors.

It has nothing to do with hate it is just human nature.

I get your point.
But the problem is that this is Africa, that has over 2000 languages and people.
Based on that logic, it means Africa has to split into at least 1500 countries which would be too small to assert its influence on the world stage.
You talk of France, U.K., Germany, USA etc these countries are over 60 million people, and they were not always the way they are currently. If you know history, then you will understand what I mean.
But how many African tribes have up to 60 million people?
That is why for countries to thrive in Africa, there has to be some intersection, and for these countries to work, the structure has to be good, which unfortunately, most African countries are not.
If we can adopt the Switzerland model, I think African countries can work too, because The Swiss people are not homogenous, but because of the system, they are progressing.
Even Canada too, the same thing
