Okay i got my copy of PES 2017 on my PS4 after having been seeing so much hype around this game on websites and Youtube lately, i was so excited to rip open the packaging after spending N22,500 during this recession just to have a first hand glimpse of this so called perfect soccer simulation. I have been playing this game for the last 6 hours going through the different modes, and here are my impressions

!. Graphics: The graphics are way better than fifa16 on any platform, especially up close, you would be amazed,but is it better than the coming Fifa17? Hmm thats left to be seen. 8/10

2. User feel: The game plays like an arcade, shots still fly in straight lines as if drawn with a ruler lol... but the keepers are way better than 16, mid field battles consist mainly of sliding and struggling for ball possession but its good fun all the same. AI players are smarter, better runs,the goal celebrations are just average, the over all feel of the game i would rate a 6/10 as matches quickly start to get boring esp with the dead awful commentary.

3. I wasn't able to test the live update or do any online gaming because the game isn't officially out yet but once you start the game you get a prompt for a small update download around 96MB i dunno what it does but i did it anyway.


So in conclusion IS THIS A REPLACEMENT FOR FIFA?
In my opinion NOPE! while the FOX engine delivers superb graphics and sweet modern animations the overall feel just lacks that lustre and polish we have become accustomed to in the Fifa series.

And after a couple of hours my buddy Kunle suggested we fire up the xboxone and play some hours of Fifa16 which we did.

SO EXCEPT YOU ARE A DIE HARD PES FAN, I WOULD SUGGEST WAITING FOR FIFA 17

Pes has proven in its last three releases that it's a game for pple who love gameplay strategies in football which gets more interesting as u continue playing modes like master league. while fifa keeps releasing the same gameplay with few tweaks since 2011.
fifa shows u what u enjoy watching in football (Marketing) while pes makes u feel what u enjoy in football. in my opinion.
