My 2months plus 2weeks daughter is sneezing and coughing. The cough is occasional but the sneezing is kind of frequent. A nurse recommended ampiclox drop but I just read about it online and cough was not mentioned. My mum think I should get ampicillin drop that it's mild since the cough is not serious. Experienced mamas I need ur input abeg. My I even wan try sugar and red oil but I'm not sure if it stops sneezing or only cough.

I will suggest you just give her vit c ,and cover her up well, cos of the weather, you can massage her with metholatum too at the back, rib cage and chest region.
For the sugar and oil thing,av used it too and it worked, but if you are going to use it make sure its st. Lious sugar and don't give within 2-3 hours with other drug as oil tend to disrupt the potency of drugs and might cause her to throw up.

Hian! grin Alphahandmaiden knows a lot, I just dub her answers.

Meanwhile, how was everyone's Sallah? Share pics!

We went to the beach. I put madam in swimsuit and swim diapers and baby sunscreen (I've seen some at Ebeano and SPAR supermarkets). We now decided to build a sand castle (I know, I know, okoros feeling funky with ourselves cheesy). Halfway through it, raising walls and columns, LASG realised we had not settled Omo nile, paid taxes or anything and sent a huuuggggeeeee wave to wash us and the castle away grin Baby E was holding onto this big seashell and even though the wave rushed her and she cried, she stubbornly held on, she no dey carry last! We have sand in the most awkward places but we had fun.

Baby E and Himself:

WHich beach did you go to? Maybe when i return, will think of that.

A private beach because Elegushi is crowded and dirty (too many broken bottles). If you can drive farther down after Ajah, you'll see them. Quieter and cleaner.

mumi onegai, I miss Baby E pix. Thanks for the birthday photoshoot idea u shared some days ago. I will be taking my baby to the field to have some beautiful shots as well for his Bday.

Seriously, it always looks nicer. It takes a really good photog to light properly in a studio and have a nice background and it costs money to do so. You can haggle price better by shooting outdoors and just make sure he carries a reflector and shoot early morning or late afternoon because it gives the soft flattering lighting you need. So shoot from 3.30pm to 5pm.

Tongue tie will look like a thick membrane under the tongue or holding up the upper gum. Ask for the matron, older more experienced nurses can spot it easier. I know a lot of doctors won't check for it.
thanks so much... we have checked..no tongue tied.. God bless you

Pls mommies in d house....dnt knw what to do about my baby(she is 14month tomorrow).she doesn't eat at all,I wen to d hospitl to lay complaint nd I was tld to gve her cyprilgold which I did bt it works for her for sme weeks nd my baby srtrd again with her not eating habbit, smetyms we spend 2 to 3hrs on a feeding which am alwyz tired of...now she is starting schl on ds resumption what can I do mommies in d house pls hlp a first time mother plssss

Read back a bit dear! Children with peculiar eating habits has been discussed severally.

All sorts of things may work- changing the meals i.e introducing new and more interesting variety, getting someone else to feed her, timing the meals and so on.

I know you need to make meal times as fuss free as possible. After thirty minutes pack up the food and let her be. remove snacks and drinks like caprisonne from her daily regimen so that she is able to accept more food. What are you feeding her just cereal? The same thing over and over?

You can also try feeding her at meal times or allowing her attempt to feed herself.

Just read back anyway you'll find more suggestions!

Whaaaaaaa?? cry why now? Don't you guys watch "Andy's Prehistoric Adventures"? We want more girls in STEM. My favourite show is "Nina and the Neurons" because it teaches science to under 6 years old with experiments. Every time I watch it, I realise how little I learned in school. I'm actually going to buy the DVD for madam. Even Himself has started watching it too. Just imagine if your daughter goes "Mummy, that's a Velociraptor, now go away I'm reading", won't you be proud!!! Granted, you might wanna smack her for telling you to go away, but you'll be prouddd grin

Note on the boldened.

You can cut it when the child is older but the hassle and drama is not worth it as you need all the anaesthesia to knock out the child before the surgery and the healing takes much longer.

It is best done when they are babies. As soon as possible to the honest within the first month in my opinion.

okay thanks
