N264 billion down the drain. Nigeria we hail thee. PMB the Petroleum Minister should respond to this. He is the cabinet minister, this sum is more than enough to build new refineries. These assets should be privatised, get a core investor to buy majority stake and sell the rest of the shares on the Nigeria Stock Exchange to Nigerians. That's another way to generate cash to fund the infrastructure gap |

This shows failure of Nigerian government they should get out of oil business forever. Let's not stop oil they should not be engaged in any business. Let's let's free market handles it. Enough political football. What's wrong with Nigerians who trust government to run anything after failing so many times. Quick list NEPA, Oil, Telecom, road and land management etc. In my opinion we should leave OPEC they don't serve our interest anyway. |

He he he he he. ...states should be made to manage these refineries and make money from it...allow private and state investors to take over the refineries and make it a revenue earner... ![]() Our refineries have refused to work because it is national interest..demons who would want to import petroleum products forever would see to it that it doesn't work.. Push for regionalism and watch how these refineries would wake up back to life... |

Lifestone:let it be in the hands of state and private investors...see until then these refineries won't work...There are many hands that won't let it work... |
| Re: Refineries Flop After Gulping N264 Billion - Daily Trust by Izonpikin: 5:58am On Sep 15, 2016 |
LMFashions:never...let me see how the likes of otedola and others who are neck dip in petroleum import can sabotage efforts to make refineries work lets say if rivers state and delta state have to depend on refining crude to generate revenue for their states... Our refineries as well as other assets are national interests reason why they aren't working... |
