According to one of the affected staff, it has been revealed that 400 staff of CNSSL (the company in charge of MTN call center) has been sacked. Here’s what he wrote:

 “This is to bring to your notice that over 400 staff of CNSSL contact center limited have been sacked.  We all work as a representative for MTN call center.


Every agent according to the new contractors (ISON BPO) are free agents after Engr Gbenga Adebayo terminates our employment when it should be a normal transition. Also note that agents earn #63000 while team leaders earn #72000 at CNSSL.
The new contractors now offer #48400  and every agent is to start all over again with even more hours of work. This is slavery in our country. We have people with master’s degree  and even PhD in this organization and yet the stipends is still offered.
CNSSL has not remitted our pension since September 2015  and no one is talking. Almost everyone in this company is married with kids. Please help share till someone helps out. It’s absurd.”

It should be recalled that few weeks back, MTN laid off all its ambassadors, due to the economic recession that has hit every company in Nigeria.
