This is why we have been paying our workers. It is wicked to owe workers at a time like this.

Someone should ask Obiano if there is a time when it is NOT wicked to owe workers?
Why do these politicians take all of us for FOOLS?
Are we really all their 200 million mumus?

Nigeria is a federation.
In the best states of Osun, Ogun, Kwara, Rivers, Edo, Borno and Oyo were all under " pre - APC" party at one time or the other between 2011- 2015 when Nigeria had "oil boom."
Honest question to you now. Did these states save for the raining days? Rather, some of these states plunged their states into big debts (states like Osun, Ogun etc) such that these APC and even PDP states had to look up to the little reminate save by the previous administration as payout fund.
What I am trying to say is that our (political) leaders have failed us irrespective of their party affiliations.
Aregbe collected the "oil boom" allocations and he still plunged the state into unprecedented debt of over #200 billion without tangle projects that commiserate with the allocations he has collected and the loans he obtained. God will punish him.

Obiano is right but he should raise the minimum wage of his State from 11500 to 18k as obtained in most States and harmonize the salary by grade levels. Peter Obi cleverly avoided minimum wage and added money for civil servants without harmonization thereby saving Obiano from a challenge other governors are now battling with. He should just pay them their peanuts and stop making noise.

Hopeless jobless b.astard go and focus on your broke, useless and worthless imo state that can't even pay salary for close to 1yr now despite huge loans and FG bailouts.

I have people in the Anambra civil service and the state is paying the highest in the SE with the recent increments by Obiano.

**See below Anambra minimum wage in 2015 before Obiano further increased it..while labour was then pushing Obiano to move it to 50k.

Mr Jerry Nnubia, the Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Anambra , says that the current minimum wage being earned by workers should be increased to N50,000 monthly from its present N18,000.

Nnubia told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Awka, capital of Anambra, that the increment became imperative following the “harsh” economic realities in the country.

Nnubia said that the minimum wage was long overdue for an upward review.

“At the time we negotiated for a minimum wage of N18, 000, a dollar was exchanging for N140, but a dollar exchanges for between N220 and N240 now.

“The cost of living; accommodation, transportation and food items has also gone high, making it difficult for salary earners to take care of their basic needs,” he said.

NAN also reports that the Association of Senior Civil Servants last month also demanded a minimum wage of N46, 000 for workers.

Its Secretary-General, Mr. Bashir Lawal, in Lagos State, said that the existing N18, 000 minimum wage could not meet the socio-economic demands of workers.

According to Nnubia, the Federal Government’s fight against corruption will further help to improve the economy.

He urged the Federal Government to review its housing policy for workers, noting that civil servants had not benefitted from the existing housing scheme despite their monthly contributions to the scheme.

“The current contributions of workers to the national housing scheme should be made to work,” he said.

He commended Gov. Willie Obiano of Anambra for his positive dispositions towards workers’ welfare, but noted that more still needed to be done in the state.

“Anambra workers are full of expectations that Obiano will put smiles on their faces by fulfilling his promises of increasing salaries,” the unionist said.

Willie is beginning to make just too much noise, his predecessor left a healthy treasury and a fairly organized governance structure for him, he hasn't done much of anything himself. Since when did paying workers salaries from taxpayers money become an extraordinary feat?

Abagworo I've been observing you for sometime now on political matters and I'm sorry but it appears you've lost it totally. Who's Rocha's compared to Obiano? Like comparing bicycle technology with Aeronautic technology.

With people like you around, all I can say is may God help us.
