BUHARI promised he'll fight corruption. He didn't say he'll improve the economy. It was Jonathan shouting up and down during the campaign that he'll sustain the economy
Your point?

I will keep saying that all the good news and positive rating about our economy were total lies. This is the real face of Nigeria economy.
Let Buhari and His team contact ME. I have a practical solution to these problems.

My point being that Buhari is indeed fighting corruption while the economy suffers but if we had elected Jonathan, he'd been busy capitalizing on the achievement garnered on the economy

I remember when we were taught inflation in SS2 ECONS, there was no ready example for galloping inflation.
I hope the available ECONS textbooks are revised soon. The front page should have the pictures of Buhari, Tinubu, Oshinbajo, Emefiele , Adeosun and one NL zombie

if you dont name that name, i go vex with you.

For crying out loud.....

WE ARE NO LONGER ASKING buhari TO DEVELOP NIGERIA .
.
At this point, we are only asking him to return Nigeria to the state she was before he (Buhari) was sworn into office.
.
Return our dear Naira to 170 per Dollar
Return our bag of rice to #7000
Return our bankers to their jobs
Return the over 400 multinational companies that relocated out of this country back to Nigeria.
Return the thousands of Nigerians you made jobless back to their respective jobs.
Return our economy to the fastest growing economy in Africa
Return Dangote back to his position as the richest man in Afirca.
Return our only indigenous car manufacturing company INNOSON Motors back to production.
.
Forget about adding anything new, just do these and we will ask for no more.

I personally think that the stats lie. look around you and tell me if inflation has gone up by 50% in the house hold items you buy from January up untill now.
basic things like bread, rice or egg has gone up by 50% or more yet inflation reports says 17%. I believe the numbers are fraudulently reduced so investors wouldn't flee.....inflation in Nigerian is about 40% based on what's on ground. I believe someone on Nl understands me

Those promises have either been denied or cancelled.

Even when Christie Amanpour interviewed the APC President on the economy he said and I quote :"I'll fight corruption and use it to finance budget "

He never admitted any other way of revamping the economy nor sustaining it.

no economist in this current govt. just a gathering of dullards led by a grand commander of dullards

they should keep on breaking the records. those that voted him.cant afford the cost of living. they are exchanging their kids for rice in the north and and lining up for five hundred naira from kashamu in the west .. .............................as for me am braced for him. i expected this and as long internet functions in Nigeria some of us wont feel it . the illiterate voters unluckily will bear the brunt

bitter truth

keep it up. one day na one day. the british business venture called Nigeria will close
undecided

wetin be inflation?

I read some comments by progressives on nairaland that the president built two refineries in two years as minister of petroluem in 1976. He is going to build four refineries at the expiration of his four years tenure. Don't worry, change is here grin grin grin

Well
Some people will not agree with the statistics. The price of commodities can tell you that. I went to buy vegetable oil at Ajah market and the price had gone up within two weeks. So what are we not saying.

Okay let's say at 17.6% it is GEJ'S fault and PDP 16 years.

Will these people still say the same thing when it's 20%?

Can this institution keep quiet and save us this unnecessary hoopla, we know the economy is down and need no further exaggerated figures to prove this. This was how this same NBS keeps dishing out favorable statistics on the GEJ administration which all came to become paper economics devoid of reality.
your post is baseless, NBS is a government owned institution, if they falsify figures, other research institutes like the world bank would publish their own to rubbish their reputation.

And if u dnt listen Nigerians should brace up as we are going to dive into depression very soon,if d govt keeps playing around.

I guess it was Jonathan that handed leadership over to Buhari during the 80s when he first landed Nigeria into recession.
Was he the same reason why it took him 6 months to nominate ministers?
