It was rather hard to fail and hard to have As.
They'd just pack their Cs and dash you with one or two Bs.
The results were always as if they used a close marking scheme which was actually not the case.
That's why NECO will remain a mushroom exam body.

I used to believe Neco is all about c c c until I got this my result. It was just the true colour of my preparation. I wrote wassce with much assurance. Did Neco like class work. Hmmmmm. Cool result tho.

How can one check the results

so this mofos went ahead to release results after they haven't paid the markers?... infact they no try at all...Neco I don halla finish abeg make una give us our change for the marking.

All these high figures will drastically reduce if you remove examination malpractice. I have never seen exam malpractice on a large scale until I served.

How did Aboki students who do not even understand "sit down" pass ordinary terminal exam let alone NECO? Same goes to the southern Nigeria too.

I have never believed NECO for once. How can a student who had F9 in a particular WAEC subject make A1 in the same subject in NECO? Something is not adding up at all.

He said the comparative analysis of candidates performance in the examination for 2015 and 2016 shows that there is one percent (1%) improvement in the general performance of candidates in 2016 (88.51%) as compared with 2015 (87.51%)



The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the June/July 2016 Senior Secondary Schools results.
Registrar of the Council, Prof. Charles Uwakwe, while announcing the results at the Headquarters in Minna, said 88.51 percent of the candidates got at least five credits including Mathematics and English Language.
According to him, 905,011 (84.54 per cent) of candidates got 5 credits and above in English Language while 812,846 (80.16 percent) got 5 credits and above in Mathematics.
He said the comparative analysis of candidates performance in the examination for 2015 and 2016 shows that there is one percent (1%) improvement in the general performance of candidates in 2016 (88.51%) as compared with 2015 (87.51%).
The analysis of candidates performance by State has Ekiti State recording the highest of 96.48 percent and Katsina State recording the least with 72.59 percent.
Prof. Uwakwe said that 1,022,474 candidates in Nigeria and other countries sat and wrote the examination out of 1,027,016 who registered.
He said that 43,905 cases of malpractice was recorded, and the number of schools involved in mass cheating as 194, adding that the results of candidates involved have been cancelled.
The Registrar said that the council was able to sustain its timely release of results at the stipulated time from the date the last paper was written.

They've started paying on the 14th I.e 2days ago. Disbursement is in batches, that is NECO for you. I've not received mine, but a colleague that uses unity bank was alerted last Wednesday, I.e 2days ago. So just be patient with NECO o!

Sometimes I wonder if they mark those scripts at all. NECO questions are way cheaper than that of WAEC. But people fail the most in NECO

They've started paying 2days ago. Be patient, by next week you'll be paid. Am yet to receive mine too, but a colleague have received hers.

I'd never checked my NECO results since 2005......

After seeing WAEC, i'd no need for it
