Its very evident with the kind of fuel sold these days but we ourselves to blame for depending on imported fuel |

Everyone except the DPR knows that the quality of petroleum products particularly PMS and AGO has been on the decline for years now. You can barely stand beside a petrol dispenser now without having watery eyes and the diesel sold at gas stations these days is just something else. July was a particularly nasty month. Spent a fortune repairing injector nozzles on my generators despite buying from NNPC, Conoil, Mobil. Had to dispose almost 400 litres in three seperate dumps. And it is simply because the DPR has abdicated its responsibilities owing to the sellers market scenario particularly when the products are imported more or less on credit. The only hope is to wait patiently for local refineries to catch up. The oil industry is just rotten. |

This story is a lie and was only concocted by the daily either to put Nigeria on the same bandwagon as smaller African nations or their investigations revealed oil marketers now import oil in bulk from said small African nations. The BBC report done yesterday showed a map of countries substandard petroleum is regularly sold to, Nigeria was nowhere on the list -- it's not every bad thing you read about your nation which is true. Anyway, the country never had a good track record so I don't blame people for believing. |

I blame Buhari. Why hasn't he built a refinery bigger than dangote's own? Has he not spent over a year? |
