This started since yesterday on my 2007 Nissan Pathy. The "Slip" light flashes randomly and each time it does i loose acceleration and no matter how hard i step on the pedal,the car does not accelerate. As soon as the slip light goes off it picks up acceleration again.It doesnt last for more than a minute before it goes off on its own. If i switch off the VDC the issue stops.But I can't drive for long with VDC off. No check engine light is ON. Pls any idea on what to check? |

mayor2013:Like i stated earlier,there is no code.There is also no fault dispay. The slip only blinks intermittently when i step on the pedal and goes off on ita own. |

jodeci:There are codes, but you searching in the wrong places. Now the present issue you having is, 1 or more wheels is/are not turning in sync with the rest, so the cars computer feels car is loosing control and decides to cut power so you can gain a little traction. The issues are centered around failing wheel speed sensors. With the rains every where it is not uncommon. If you in lagos bring it for a free scan. I no longer fix nissan from the usa so I cannot help you with a fix. 3 Likes |

jodeci:If your mechanic has a professional scan tool let him run a scan on your abs or better still use actual values to detect the wheel speed sensor that is malfunctioning |
