It seems that commuters making use of Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, a major express way connecting Enugu State to Anambra State, Delta State, Edo State and Western Nigeria among others, are about to experience respite from the heart rending experience occasioned by the deplorable state of the road. Rumour has it that the federal government is about to commence the rehabilitation of the road under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) scheme.

Though you said is a rumour,i dont respond to rumours.....however why is it that every capital project in the South-East about to be executed by this present federal govt. Must be a PPP. Why cant the govt spend money in the South-East as done in other political zones,without forcing the populace to indirectly finance it.

Please I urge all the leaders in the south east to reject this plan by fashola to get this road done under a PPP. While other major roads like Lagos Ibadan express way is being done by the fed govt,a major road in the south east like the Enugu Onitsha highway will be concessioned to a private firm to repair and toll the users.
It should be rejected in its entireity. If other parts of the nation get their roads done,why is it that its in the east that they will prefer that option

Almost if not all of the roads and federal projects in SE are under some USELESS public/private schemes as if SE are no longer bonafide citizens of the country to get funds directly from the budget; yet you scream One Nigeria when they want Biafrra.
