Lennycool:LOL. So you found Israelite scrolls from which the Bible was written and you believed that they worshipped GOD as was written in those scrolls, yet you don't believe that they did all the killings recorded in the scrolls? ![]() Lennycool: |

DoctorAlien:See this guy oh, how many times will I tell you that the bible is mostly fiction, everything done by God in the bible, whether it be killings or revelations or healings are pure fiction, as of those done by the Israelite themselves I've not researched on it so I can't tell you if it happened or not. Mean while ask yourself why there is no evidence of the great flood today, or why scientist have agreed without doubt that the diversity present today in humans could not be brought about by just two people(Adam and Eve). Also ask yourself why no miracle in the bible can be confirmed today. Guy I've noticed that is ignorance that is fueling most of you theist please read a little and come back. Its embarrassing to see a grown man believing in fairy tales. All I just told you can be confirmed on the web. |

Lennycool:Even if someone from the antediluvian world resurrected and told you that the flood occurred, you still wouldn't believe. Am I lying? Are scientists the one to decide for you what to believe? So if scientists tell you today that you were once a dog, you would believe? There is proof anyway that the whole world descended from just two people. There is no fairytale as embarrassing and incredible as evolution. ![]() |

DoctorAlien:I accept what I have not had time to research about rather than giving you falsities. I did not say the killings the Israelite did was fiction, I said the ones God performed were fiction, check my earlier post. |

Lennycool:Plenty of evidence abound of a great flood. Try to read about how coal and crude oil is formed and then read about the immense quantity these resources we have on earth today and how they could have been formed. Who are scientists? I'm a scientist too and I agree that a human chromosome has capacity to produce enough variations that'll bring about different races. So who are scientists you are waiting for to agree to such, before you do? Can you mention their names? Miracles still occur today. Miracles have occurred to me. I'm a living witness. ![]() |

Lennycool:It's okay to lie. The records are there for people to check on the other pages of this thread. So you would research eh? Prove to me that the sites and sources you're going to consult in this research of yours with their various contents are any more credible than the Bible. |

| Re: If Jehovah Is Omnipresent, Where Was It When Eve Was Talking To The Snake? by Nobody: 2:50pm On Sep 24, 2016 |
DoctorAlien:There is no need for anyone to tell me the flood occurred when all the evidence pointed against it. A mass extinction event like the flood would have left so much evidence it would be irrefutable by a scientist. Such as the mass extinction that killed the dinosaurs. Scientists don't just tell you what to believe in fact they don't care if you believe, they simply state there findings without bias, they also provide proof that any willing individual can follow up on if he wishes, I can't say the same thing about the bible. You laugh at evolution because according to you it sounds like a fairy tale, but you fully accept the fact that a couple thousand years ago a man filled a wooden boat with all the animals in the world, because God told him he would send a flood, and this man survived till the flood ended. Do you know how implausible so many aspect of this story sounds like, for example how did Noah get a polar bear since they live in the Arctic, or even penguins, or the millions of species of insect and birds, or elephants and hippos and crocodiles. The food supposedly covered the top of even the tallest mountains, and we all know the higher we get the less air there is, so what did they all breathe, how does an all encompassing global flood recede. How did the dove even find plant life, when they've been submerged in water for so long. Noah also sacrificed an animal after he reached land, so that means he just made a specie go extinct. Please come out of this your daydream that is religion |

DoctorAlien: abeg laugh they kill me. So crude oil come because of the flood na and you call yourself a scientist. Na for Aba you get certificate guy no kill me. Teempakguy:Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him ACTIONS are WEIGHED. 1 Samuel:2:3 There's arrogance in you. You proud and self conceited. You sneer at God, yet you demand answers from him. You do not need answers, you want to scorn, but don't worry, keep it up. Thats all i can say to you. |

![]() This is a classic case of arguing with someone who neither knows science nor the Bible. Can you imagine Lennycool saying that because Noah did a sacrifice when he came out of the ark, one animal species is now extinct? Please, Noah took into the ark 7 pairs of each of the clean animals and only a pair of the each of the unclean animals. Noah couldn't have sacrificed to GOD with an unclean animal, and taking one or two of the 14 animals of a species certainly wouldn't have made that species go into extinction. Could you please read? ![]() |

Lennycool:Don't sweat it please! Why the pain con dey too much for your ass? Abeg sorry bro, I no know say nah so e dey pain you. But, we weren't discussing. Adults? Are you an adult because I haven't seen that in any of your post. But, if the way you think is the way ALL adults think, then I prefer to be a kid and die like a kid! Your so-called adult reason is questionable, no wonder why @DoctorAlien dey joke with your sense. Simply because, your thinking ability suck a big time! |

analice107:Er . . . no, I'm not sneering at God. neither am I asking him anything. I'm asking you. I'm demanding answers from you. If you can't provide them, pray tell, so I can ask someone else. I've often thought of if I'm proud or not. If I'm arrogant or not. I guess I'm a bit arrogant and a bit proud, a character flaw I'm working on. But, as arrogant as I am, even I can't stay bold if someone punches a solid hole in my arguments. I know this because there are people here who have done that to me. And I'm forever grateful to them for teaching me something I didn't know before. I think what you're really worried about is that you think that there is no argument you can put up that I can't counter. Don't worry, I feel the exact same way about you. ![]() |

Teempakguy:That's the point, "Winning arguments". Am not here to win at anything. To you, it's all about proving and disproving this and that, that's why as much as i have what to say to you, i feel laid back to do so. Am not here to prove anything to you or anyone, and it doesn't really matter if you believe or not. The word of God stands sure. This much i will say to you, and i will use an allusion to create a scenario to drive home my explanation. Cast this images in your mind. There was a young King who inherited his fathers throne. Before he could really settle to rule his kingdom, he needed a queen. And as King, everyone and everything under his domain was his for the taking. He could do anything at any time to anyone. It was all within his power. Everyone will fall over himself to do his biddings. Everyone will give him anything to be in his good books and in his favour. All the Noble men and women had raised their daughters as prospective queens, and now was when they fought to get their daughters to catch the King's eyes. The King liked and treated them all nicely, but wanted Something else in his queen. One, morning, the young King noticed a younger girl cleaning his personal chamber. Although she had been working as a cleaner in the palace, she had never come face to face with the king. All through the time she did her chores, she never raise her head to look at the man sitting and reading, ahe wont know if he was the King or not. She noticed someone's presence, but she neither spoke or acted as though she knew. she finished her chores and left. All through that week she went there to clean. Her diligence and the fact that she didn't mind if there was someone present intrigued the King, So every morning he will come and sit there waiting for her to come and clean. He had fallen for this girl only because the girl didn't know him and was not excited that she was cleaning the Kings private chambers. She just did her work and left. One night, he decided to investigate. He had silently watched her and had developed a liking for her. So he devised a means to know her better, but she must not know who he was. He needed this girl, but how was he going to have this girl without the girl feeling and acting like he deserved her, without her feeling like a property to him? Remember the "Coming to America kind of wife who was raised to like whatever the king liked?" This king didn't want that kind of wife too. He didn't want a woman who won't have a choice to refuse his love overtures. He wanted a woman who will love and willingly want to be with him without feeling compelled to. He wanted a woman who will say NO to him if she doesn't want him. He wanted a woman who will not be a queen inside his private chambers but a friend and a wife and gisting mate. He wanted a woman who will stand up to him and refuse him if she doesn't feel up to it. One night, he devised an scheme. He snuck into the service quarters where the servants lived and took a pair of work clothes, at twilight, he disguised himself as a servant, and monitored the girl when she closed from work. From a distance he followed and traced her home. She turned out to be an only Child of a very poor couple living in the outskirt of town. Her father was sick and dying, her mother had to stay home to tend him, so she had to work to fend for the family. He befriended her without her knowing who he was. Her parents liked his manners and courtesy. All along, like a servant he presented himself to them. He proposed marriage and she accepted. On their wedding day was when he revealed himself to her and his queen to the Kingdom. At this point, the girl was genuinely in love him, but still had the chance to walk away, for he made it clear to her long before then that he could take rejection. The young king is Christ, the bride or young girl is you, the kingdom is the world. To every normal thinking person, her status are not befitting of a queen, but the master wants her anyway. And she had the choice of saying No to the king. Now she knows who her husband is, Now she, she had the choice of staying and becoming queen or leave and go back to her penury. The choice and responsibility is hers. Now, i need you to look inside this allusion or scenario and see FREEWILL AND RESPONSIBILITY at play. Freewill comes with responsibilities. A choice to either say yes or no. As much as God loves you, and wants to save you, he can not thrust himself at you just because he has the power to. You have a responsibility to accept to come or say no and stay there. He needs you to feel the need to personally, willingly, consciously and responsibly come. When you come without being compelled, you'd stay. irrespective of the turbulence that shall arise later, you'd stay. God loves you, but wants you to love him back just the same way. btw; don't feel the need to compete with me in this argument. In every way, you are better than i am. You are an atheist anyway. |

hahn:smh. hahn, so this is what you have in your head? Your head is so darned empty ![]() The story of Adam and Eve is not meant to be taken literally, it is meant to be received in pictures, in allegories. A talking snake makes sense to you? Don't be ridiculous. If you will take it, lemme interpret the story for you Adam and Eve is the nation of Israel, Adam are the leaders, Eve are the people. eg Buhari and his ministers are the Adam of Nigeria, the masses are Eve. The serpent is a very sly nation of people that seduced Israel into idolatry, idolatry is the forbidden fruit in the Bible, and it is likened to sexual sin. God saw Israel as His woman, by committing idolatry, Israel was committing adultery against God. Idolatry/Adultery was the forbidden fruit. Those nations that were steep in idolatry eventually convinced Eve (the people) into idolatry and Eve eventually convinced her husband Adam (the leaders) to commit idolatry. God had given them everything, in the exercise of their freewill, they committed idolatry; they ate the forbidden fruit. |

MrPresident1:What an active imagination but I'm sure a lot of the theist on this site will disagree with your reasoning that the Adam and Eve story was not meant to be taken literally. Even if this was allegorical as you say, the fact that God wasn't omniscient is still present and contradicting, so how do you explain that? |
