In Genesis, Lucifer comes and speaks to Eve in the garden of Eden. Since Jehovah is everywhere, where was it when this was happening? If it was there and chose not to intervene knowing Eve was too naive to outsmart Lucifer, why didn't it come in and stop Lucifer? And if it let Lucifer have his way, why did it bother cursing Adam and Eve and all their generations for eternity? Does this mean that Jehovah deliberately wanted Adam and Eve to fall and then punish them for it's own reasons? An all powerful God should be able to do everything to ensure that it doesn't have to see it's children punished over something it could avoid. Don't you think? You're a right my guy, nice question. But even if the theist can give a suitable argument for this (which I doubt). Remember that Adam and Eve didn't know the difference between good and evil, and God then instructed them not to eat the forbidden fruit, how would they know that disobeying God was bad in the first place. They didn't even know what to disobey was, since that would be knowing what was good and evil. And if God knew everything then he knew that Adam and Eve would eat the fruit when he created them, so why did he punish them when they neither knew good nor evil and when he knew fully well they would disobey him. Let's say for example You are 21 yrs old and you ave a younger brother of 3 yrs.... You now engage in a mini fight with yah little broda( playing with ur broda) but just to make him happy..... You always fake pain weneva he punches you....... And at the end ....... U make ur little broda to beat you by Lyin on d ground..... If we are to ascertain ur physical strength compared to ur little broda.......... It will be impossible for ur little broda to beat you in a real fight.... You get wat m saying.... But based on d play u had with ur broda..... U limit ur physical strength by coming down to his level.... But dat doesn't affect ur real strength level in any way.... The judaic version of God isn't omnipotent. He's not infallible either. He's presented as the smartest being in the universe but not intrinsically omnipotent. That would explain why he didn't know what was going on. I think a more interesting question would be, "When did he change?" 3 Likes |
