you see that community, they are the masters of drug trafficking in that state. But they don't condemn those ones but petty criminals. Bsp. Okeke this priest needs some questioning. If Jesus can pardon the adulterous woman I see no reason the priest wouldn't have acted like a learned fellow at least and show mercy like Jesus or be civil by handing them over to the police which I believe is the best course of action

I can just assume that the beating had taken place before the Priests came out from the Mass. I don't think they actually witnessed the beating.

Is there any evidence that indicates that the priest was present during the beating of the said thieves? If anything at all, it is evident that the thieves had been subject to what one can reasonably infer was a ferocious beating, going by numerous wounds on their heads and other parts which are bleeding seriously but someone caused the beatings to stop. In the pictures where the priest is visible, the crowd has cleared some space around them, and no one can be seen beating the accused.

This indicates to me quite strongly, that the crowd or other agents thereof, did in fact beat the thieves but were caused to stop quite possibly, by the priest.

This should not happen, especially in a church premises. The church is a place where a sinner or a transgressor should be convicted of their sin by a show of love, not where jungle justice is dished out! I'm disappointed!

The evidence suggests that the priest's arrival on the scene actually may have brought respite for the apprehended fellows.

Look at the pictures again. In the one picture where the priest is not visible, the crowd is much closer to the men, ostensibly from which distance they could land some blows. In the pictures where the priest is visible, the crowd has cleared and given the men a very wide berth, obviously on instruction.

Why accuse without facts?

Do you think they will still be alive if the priest wasn't there? As for the beating aspect, there was nothing the priest could have done because all these must have taken place even before he came out of the church building.

If you want to know how long it will take for beating to start when a thief is caught, why not try it yourself. Whether they are in front of Sango shrine or Mosque. Beating must surely take place

What if it was a situation where the thieves were caught and beaten while Mass was being celebrated. The question will be, was there a continuation of the beating in the presence of the Priest as the pictures shows that the Mass has ended with the Priest and the Parishioners outside the Church building.

Why are people pining every crime being committed today on Buhari? Those youths in the pictures are the type who will refuse to come work for you in the farm and earn their daily wages but would always be on the look out for what to steal and sell so as to fund their weed smoking, girlfriends and alcohol.
