Is it not when you discover oil in a location you will go for an oil well?

T43 never hit oil, what they discovers was gas at 6,000 feet.
In the process of going further the got stuck, kogi people invaded and the project was abandoned.
I was there, where you.
Why are you speaking from both sides of your mouth, I thought you said that they stopped BC of clay?, why are you not ashamed shifting grounds within not less than an hour. So is now BC of the attack?
Well the truth will always prevail which remains that workers has returned to site, the location of the site have been secured and finally they will dig further.

I mustn't be there to get my facts, from the picture evidence and a lil bit information here, I have gotten a little information I cab work with.

So they never got oil but gas? Now see below and tell us how it happened last year and ongoing till now?

Anambra State plans to increase the production of crude oil in its wells to 3,000 barrels per day by September. The firm, which was conceived by the Anambra State Government under former governor of the state, Dr. Chinwoke Mbadinuju, was inaugurated in August, 2012 by former President Good luck Jonathan. The company said it had concluded arrangements with an indigenous company, Nails & Stanley Limited, to establish a gas plant in Umueje in Ayamelum Local Government Area of the state. Managing Director of Orient Petroleum Resources, Mr. Sunny Okoye, said these on Monday after a meeting of the Board of Directors of the company with the state Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia. Okoye added that the company had revved up activities in two new oil wells in its Aguleri oilfields that would shore up the company’s production capacity to 3,000bpd before September this year. He said, “Orient is not only working assiduously in boosting the production capacity of its oil wells, the company is also developing the vast gas resources in the state. “We are dealing with gas development on two fronts. The first one is the gas production we have right now, side by side with oil. We are looking at how to transform it to an income earning venture.” The managing director explained the plan to generate income from the gas resources informed its partnership with Nails & Stanley to produce Compressed Natural Gas that would be used for industrial power as well as powering automobiles and a sundry other activities. Okoye stated, “We are engaging Nails & Stanley for that. They are on track to install their compressor cans soon, and as soon as we are ready to flag their operations off in the state, we are going to develop the ANU Gas Field. “We have a well, which we are going to use to produce sufficient gas for increased power production in Anambra State. That’s the second plan of our gas development plan.”

Have I ever said Anambara is not producing,
One of you guys said 12000 BPD, I said I don't know the current volume, my contention is those producing fields were bought, the drilled ones by Orient were abandoned last year.
I was there , were you?
You really should go through my first post concerning this topic to this very one and stop making haff baked assumptions based on sentiments.

I admire your insistence but let me tell you something:
Firstly, The Igala 's will do EVERYTHING possible to make all the territories in question remain theirs, either through political means or by militant action. For the latter, they have got a well organised and active militia group that have vowed to reclaim those areas violently.

Secondly, Dangote will commission his Coal Mines that would be used to service his Cement Plant at Obajana in Kogi state next month. During his visit to Governor Yahaya Bello few weeks ago, the Governor alluded that the Coal Mines were reclaimed from one of their neighbouring state (Enugu) and that they will in the same manner rightfully reclaim thier ''Oil lands'' from another neighbouring state(Anambra)
AmericanQuarter:
There is peace in the area right now. The security personnel are there for maintenance of the existing peace. Just like every other area where there is oil installations there is usually security personnel stationed there, it is not peculiar to Anambra oil facilities. The bulk of the oil is in Anambra territory. At least 2 commercial wells(Anambra River-1 & Anambra River-2) are all securely in Anambra territory and that is where Orient is drilling right now. The 3rd well which is in contention lies at the boundary between Anambra-Kogi-Enugu state, with Anambra still having the bulk of it.

My friend, you said they were not producing crude but gas. Which field were abandoned? Are you working in the company..NO, so why are you saying all you don't know. Yes, they are producing about 12bpd right now, do you have any problem with it? Please take yourself out of here if you don't have anything reasonable to say. Nonsense!

When you drill an exploration well, you gather data about the field including the depth of the pay zone, you may even perform coring to confirm the presence of oil. After that, a decision is made whether to develop such a field and when to develop it. They also make decisions on what method of completion to use. It's not a case of digging deeper to create a well. I can send you books that will help build your understanding of what goes on in an oil field because you clearly have no clue.

Sire... If you have knowledge about oil exploration... I want to ask you some brief questions...

How can you bypass clay during exploration?
Can someone gather data and commence exploration without examining the soil texture?
When you dig the earth what type of soil do you get bypassed until you get to oil.?
Can you dig pass 8000ft without being sure to reach the oil surface?

Can you clarify this?

The bickering on this thread is unecessary. You should find a way to enjoin your Governor to reach out to the FG and NBC so as to resolve the land dispute once and for all.
Dont be carried away by the seeming economic prospect of being an Oil producing state, consider the security aspect. Human lifes matter than oil

Since the governor stationed security personnel in the area, there has never been any incidence of invaders. The area is securely Anambra territory.

Sire... If you have knowledge about oil exploration... I want to ask you some brief questions...

How can you bypass clay during exploration?
You deal with it, it could increase the risk of stuck tubulars but it can be dealt with
Can someone gather data and commence exploration without examining the soil texture?
Nope
When you dig the earth what type of soil do you get bypassed until you get to oil.?
All sorts....sand, clay, hard rock, shale sef
Can you dig pass 8000ft without being sure to reach the oil surface?
Yes it depends on the depth of the reservoir. Another thing, crude oil does not exist as a pool of oil in formation, it is instead "drained" from pore spaces of the formation. I will suggest you read about permeability and porosity as applied to crude oil

Can you clarify this?[/quote]

Stop beating your chest. When Jonathan was the President, did he stop the Ibaji Militia's from killing Aguleri people in their hundreds?
After the Boko infested states in the North East, Kogi state has the highest number of armed Militias in the country. It was in this same Kogi state that the DSS attempted to dislodge late Mallam Baba's As-Sunnah Sect at Okene before his boys fled to the adjoining areas around Ebiraland.

If the FG and NBC should address the land dispute between Anambra and Kogi state as soon as possible, we might be having a potentially bloodier Oil war at hand

If crude oil doesn't exist in a pool of oil in formation what then is inside the reservoir considering you are digging for the first time... And why is it called a reservoir then?
