OP, thanks for this post. My son also made the merit list (Mech Eng). I was at Unilag last week to confirm when the list will be out but they advised I continue to check their website.

The UNN list was terrible, only Igbos! Go and check again, then download Unilag list and compare.


Even the SS names is very few on UNN list than Unilag list, yet you call them your brothers.

My reaction basically stemmed out of the annoying ways some Igbos comment when their kids are not granted admission in the west; claiming victimization and marginalization.

Pls show Me the list of names that their admission is not based on merit.

Hmm..What a country! What a system! With my 296 in utme, unilag still denied me of admission for mbbs because i had credit passes throughout in my o'level...So my ambition is truncated again because of inconsistency in govt policy....Am tired of this country

check unn list so tribalistic and you call that a federal uni, who the school EPP gan..compare to unilag. Even Lagos state university Even though it a state university they admit people from S.S,SE.Them they my department and other department I just dey wonder y dem dey give them admin sef..come and look stat na dem dey warning pass,mtcheeeew

so go tell that to your unn they should emulate lasu admission policy or unilag

Eya sorry. I really feel for you. Do u know that the admission policy adopted this year is illegal? it can be stoped by going to court. The only means of getting into the university in nigeria recognized by law is through UTME. It's a pity there's no one fighting for this. we dont know our right and we dont fight for our right in this country. Guy it is not too late. get a lawer and go to court.
