I was sleeping today in my room around 3:00am I just felt a bite on my right hand very close to my shoulder region. it was dark we had no light I was looking for touch light but after checking the place there was little bleeding and blood coming out, I was so afraid didn't see what bite me so I looked everywhere and saw one small rat close to my bed.I know its not intentional for the rat to bite me but I think it was when I turn my hand it landed on the rat and the only way to defend itself was to bite me it happens still I was still afraid because it is happening to me for the very first time,,, pls doctors in the house or anyone what should I do this morning? did I need to visit the hospital? and hope there won't be any problem Thank you all

Go to an hospital and get a tetanus toxoid injection asap. Not that I'm trying to alarm you bit rat bite can transmit several infections including blood poisoning which is very deadly. 1 Like |
