I am wondering on who continues to buy this dollars at such a high exchange rate. My opinion is to monitor the purchasers of the dollars because i am sure it is not for legitimate import business. School fees ppl cannot be responsible alone for this surge. How much will goods bought at this galloping exchange rate be sold for in Naira. Is it speculators then a crash is imminent. Just thinking aloud. |

His children are schooling abroad, he goes abroad for vacations, medical treatments, his wife has taste for designer stuffs. With his recent trip to USA with more than 100 cronies & family members (delegates), do you have an idea how much dollars was spent |

babniyen:one of the major problem of this dollar to naira stuff is this hausa northern cabal speculators they are worse than niger delta avengers cos they are economic saboteurs. ...I watch a lot of bloomberg and I see hw people in newyork stock exchange value and devalue stocks its based on occurences and not just mere speculation no be today people dey use dollars or spend it but this people have trown themselves to street corners haraasing people on d need to buy dollars as if na food we also have the emefiele incompetence problem who has in the past mentioned it that there is a large level of speculation done by bdc if yhat is the case ban the bdc and let the banks strictly be in vharge of dlar sales bdc in my opion should be so minute dat dey should control about 2per of fiancial currency market cos if yu get them full autonomy they would destroy the economy..... buhari should do quick and with a matter of urgency sack emefiele saw him talk om tv sometymes and boi ohh Gawd he talks incompetent |

Izonpikin:I am an APC member but a non partisan one. We actually voted Buhari because of his anti-corruption stands which has made us look so unwanted by international community just like United states Voted Obama because they were tired of wars and sending their children to war. As we can see, he is not doing badly in that area but its just unfortunate that the back drop is what no one ever envisaged. |

Toks2008: ...he is not doing badly you say??...buhari is a two faced hypocrite..corruption under buhari is as clear as day light..he should work on structures and abandon this media corruption fight...we are not babies anymore... |

Izonpikin:As it stands, i can no longer support his presumed competence but when it comes to tackling corruption lets give it to him.He has a pedigree of zero tolerance to corruption and even as a young lad of 10 years i could see the way he performed in 1983 to 85. There is too much suffering in the land tho not peculiar to Nigeria alone but the already worse situation has made it extremely terrible. I just pray for this country cos no need cursing her with the already sad state. |

HOW TO SAFEGUARD YOUR HARD EARNED NAIRA FROM FURTHER LOOSING VALUE. THE ROOT CAUSE So long as we cannot produce most of the things we import from abroad, our naira will continue to receive uppercut from the almighty dollar. It is a simple economic case of scarcity and speculation. Dollar is scarce and people are ready to pay any amount for the little that is available. Some people are also hoarding it apart from the stringent government regulation over provision of dollars to dollar users. With these pressures, we pray it doesn't get to N1000 to $1. THE PRACTICAL IMPACT If you had kept N200,000 in your savings account last year. As at today, your money is merely worth N90,000 (interest included) This is because last year, $1 was N200, and now at N475/$1, your cash asset is worth (200 /475 x 200) N84,210. If your bank is generous, you might earn an interest of say N5,790 over the duration of keeping your money untouched to make it N90,000. You have practically lost N110,000! Due to the wickedness of the past governments and the cluelessness of the present government, your sweat has now been eroded by 55% and it might even go down further before the end of the year! You may think you still have N200,000 plus interest in your account, but if you withdraw that money today and use it to buy things in the market with inflation hitting an unimaginable 50% (forget about the fake 17% data from government), then you will know that things are no longer at ease. THE SOLUTION To secure your cash asset from further loosing value and to allow your money work for you so that it can be growing at an exponential rate compared to bank's snail rate, then you need to talk to our currency investment analyst right now. Call:- 07081516945 , 08109946200, winwin.investment2016@gmail.com If you don't take action right now with the way things are going in this country (hyper inflation and job losses) it might be too late! CALL/MAIL NOW, THERE IS A SURE WAY OUT. DON'T ALLOW THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT TO TURN YOU INTO A PAUPER, ACT SMART! |
