LAGOS—The governor of Lagos State Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode is expected to host World Igbo Day in Lagos, and the governors from Anambra and Enugu states, including Asiwaju Bola Tinubu are some of the top dignitaries expected at the event, taking place in Lagos as the celebration kicks off in Enugu today.

All plans and preparation from the Lagos State chapter of Ohanaeze Ndigbo to mark the world Igbo day celebration taking place in October are in top gear. This was made known by the President of Lagos State chapter of Ohaneze Ndibgo, Chief Fabian Onwughalu in Lagos.

He said they have received confirmation to most of the invitations sent out. Former governorship aspirant for Anambra Statein in the 2013 election, Ifeanyi Ubah is expected to be the guest speaker, alongside The President of Coscharis Motors, Dr. Cosmas Maduka.

On the front burner for this year’s event are issues of both common and national interest including the celebration of the Igbo culture and heritage. Onwughalu said that the Igbos in Lagos have been neglected by this administration, because none of them were considered as members of Ambode, s cabinet despite the fact that they own 50 percent of the lands in Lagos.

He however pleaded with governor Ambode to grant Certificate of Occupancy to the landlords in order to build their confidence . Answering questions on the reason for two fractions of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Onwughalu said his group is the true authentic Ohaneze Ndigbo. Speaking further, held and he emerged as the president.

The woman leader of the group, Lady Chidozie Ada Ofoegbu said the women are fully ready for the big day, to support their husbands, present the kola nuts, and also to display the various cultural dance steps.

Also present at the Lagos secretariat to support the forth coming event are, His Royal Highness ( HRH) Igwe Fred Nwajaju of Isolo/Oshodi and Ajao community, representing the royal fathers, representatives from the various local government, leaders from various markets in Lagos state amongst others.

I'm proud to be a Lagosian, we welcome everyone without discrimination,
We celebrate with others when they are celebrating, we mourn with them when they are mourning
We even vote for non-indigenous candidates as long as they are loved and competent.
But our King still doesn't take sh!t from anyone, or else you'll die in the lagoon grin

Smh....
So seeking for freedom from this God's forsaken country full of impartiality, wickedness, suffering, corruption and pain is a crime?

Let me educate you a little...The most envied US was once under the British colony and they fought for freedom.

The envied UK is made up of Ireland, Scotland, England n Wales. It makes them a better people.

Canada has provinces that operate almost independently.

Australia has regions functioning almost independently.

I'm amazed when I see our youths running to these countries but mock people seeking freedom.

Show me a country run like Nigeria and I'll tell you suffering was coined from them.

It's high time the youths of this nation irrespective of our tribes stood as one and chase out these old men deceiving us with an unprofitable 'one Nigeria'.

I think we should wake up.
When they want Power they forget their tribes and attain their selfish goal but when they come into power they divide us into so many tribal, religious and political lines.

We kick back Racism and Discrimination when abroad but encourage Tribalism which is worse off.

Wake up youths, Wake up!
Enough of this media Tribalistic war between the Yorubas and Igbos we need to come together and resist both 'Change' and 'Change the Change'. We deserve a better future.

Hahaha
: “The matter at hand is more than any police force or military personnel.” The group said it was ready to collaborate with Biafra agitators to actualize their October 1 dreams and that it would be launching a radio station in two weeks that would broadcast their message regularly. “We’re also using this medium to call on our neighbors, Biafrans to use this opportunity to achieve their dream because all arrangements have been concluded for the success. We are also using this opportunity to tell the Federal government of Nigeria that we ADAKA BORO AVENGERS are not ready for any form of dialogue. “Two weeks from today the Nigerian nation will hear our live broadcast from our radio station, the Niger Delta radio station, which will continue broadcast until the October 1 declaration.

October 1, is a day we have set aside for history to be made in the world. So the Nigerian government should not try to stop us, because if they do, heads will roll and still history will be made. “So, we are not afraid of anyone, police or military personnel, because our foreign backers are currently fighting with so many countries in the world without fear. “Lastly, the whole nation will be destabilized. What the Niger Delta leaders should do now is to call their people in other states to return home immediately. Only restructuring of Nigerian nation will stop our October 1 declaration.” It will be recalled that the group had earlier scheduled to declare an independent region in August 1 but cancelled the declaration and credited former president Goodluck Jonathan for reaching out to them. The group had ordered Yorubas and Hausas out of the Niger Delta region and called on Niger Delta people to return for the declaration
