The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has come after the National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu for bowing out of the call for a national sovereign conference which he once championed during the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.

Kanu was speaking when he played host to both foreign and local journalists at his home in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, Daily Post reports.

He said, “There was once agitation for a national sovereign conference. If you listen to Bola Ahmed Tinubu today, you won’t know that Bola Ahmed Tinubu was a leading figure asking for a sovereign national conference. Once they get into power, they forget because they are not principled.
“Anybody asking you to support one Nigeria doesn’t love you. If you read history, no one will like to be called one Nigeria.

“Whenever anyone tells you to support one Nigeria, tell the person to tell Prime Minister of Britain to support one EU.“

“Naturally human being will always agitate when they feel they are not at the right place. For instance, when a baby reaches nine months it starts agitating from the stomach.

“It starts finding ways to come out and when the mother refuses to open her legs for it to come out it dies, is that not so?”

Just look at this fool, he's at it again running his watery mouth sowing seeds of hatred . You can't liberate your people by splitting hatred and disrespectful. What the Yoruba achieved they work for it, if they think sovereign national conference is it few years ago and soften tones now they have their reasons, and they will get there.

Igbo being scheme out of Nigeria goodies is their own handiwork. When soldiers overthrow a government, the coup plotters put their own life at risk and if successful head a new government, the fact no Igbo officers made attempt at this for over 50 years is no ones cup of tea, no one stops them risking their lives. You can't be expected to have same largesse with the ones that took risks.

Same goes with democratic process, there is no law stopping or banning Igbo presenting a presidential candidates, no law stopping Igbo forming an alliance with other regions, so if Yoruba put their heads together and come up with a plan to be closer to sit of power it's non of your business .

You failed to build a virile economy in your own region and yet find no offence in insulting the ones that took you like a brother. Kanu actions is definitely going to take away the little meagre they get from national cake and there will be so much hatred for the Igbo all over the land as a result of his utterances.

i won't believe this news until i see it in a reputable newspaper like punch or vanguard, the source is a blog.i also believe that some of the people abusing yorubas on this thread are not Biafrans but paid bmc online media agents.

as for the igbo politicians
all of them combined together can't pull the crowd,respect and social obedience that Nnamdi Kanu pulls, as far as we the voting masses are concerned, all these politicians are only interested in their selves, have no conscience and are sell outs.since we have been voting for them, their bank accounts have been growing while we the voters have been getting worse off,We're not voting come November 18 and they won't force us out of our homes to come and vote. let them rig themselves out, fight and kill themselves and finally go to the tribunals to expose themselves.we're done with Nigerian politicians and their tricks. the only time they know about our existence is during elections, on November 18,we would deny them on the election day.

You quite forget that we grow into situations, time makes us know how darely we might be needing a particular change. Biafra agitation has been there, maybe nnamdi Kanu was just an ordinary Biafran then, supporting those that championed the course before time exposed their greedy minds. With time he felt he could revive this dying hope...coincidentally it manifested during this administration, coupled with the unfavourable policies that spored the agitation. I think these are the few thing one should consider before passing verdict.
So Kanu was GROWING when Jonathan was President. Please this excuse does not hold water.

Kanu have been making noise thru radio biafra since 2013 and no one took him serious. in 2015 he called on all IPOB members to boycott the election n not cast their votes for GEJ. U only started hearing about him because bubu arrested him for 18 months n made him a Semi God.

The thing shock me.

NADECCO and many other groups championed Sovereign national conference. BAT and So Yinka were at the fore front. Tinubu tasted democratic loot as governor and chickenEd out. I was shocked to see that the opening page of APC manifesto was that Nigeria will be restructured and power devolved to states.
