thunder74:Yes the accused person said he is ready but remember it's this same set of judge that have been truncating the fight against corruption so far, Remember Metuh case? if one of this judges happen to be the presiding judge over metuh's case he won't have release the money at the end of the day.. Remember how metuh started his own drama by shredding and eating own statement (Paper) but later what happened? he confessed and return all the money and even promise to support the fight against corruption.. Most of those that have cases with corruption have went to bribe those judge and believe they will have their way at the end of the day with those evil judges... Now the cleansing should start from the Judiciary first... |

ISTANDWITHBUHAR:Honestly, Nigerians will never cease to amaze me. We fight so hard for these rich and big men who don't really know or care about us. People saying the judges should have been arrested with dignity, why were they arrested at night, blah blah blah, will never say the same thing if these were ordinary Nigerians suspected of taking 500,000 Naira bribe. For crying out loud, should we be more concerned about a door or a gate, or whether the man was arrested at 2pm or 1am? These should be the least of our worries! We have been so brainwashed by the elite and some sections of the media that we refuse to think deeply. We would rather come to the defense of the elite even when what we're doing is hurting our own future and the futures of our children. Do we as ordinary Nigerians get any form of justice from our judiciary? We have come to the point in the life of our country where we need to decide if we want corruption to thrive or be kept at a minimum (admitting that it cannot be totally eradicated). We can't have it both ways. We can't eat our cakes and have it. We can't come here and curse to the high heavens whenever news breaks that someone has collected a humongous amount of bribe or committed some other financial crime, then turn around to start crying foul when that same individual is arrested. We shouldn't hang around here and curse when a judge sentences a man who steals 5,000 Naira to 10yrs imprisonment and another judge tells a man who embezzles 75 million Naira to pay a 2 million Naira fine. We need to realize there is something terribly wrong. We need to think. Nigerians Think!!! |

ISTANDWITHBUHAR:Do you mean- - was missing? - went missing? Is this why you support an illiterate who ran away from his final exams to join the army ![]() As for Sanusi's missing $20 billion, it was part of the scheme to BBOG- Bring Back Our Government (to the north). It was after he was rightly queried over his FRAUDULENT management of our CBN money. He started singing like a canary bird with changing amounts that he claimed was missing- $90 billion, $50 billion, $20 billion etc. Only zombies can believe such a dunderhead, surely. ![]() barcanista:The FRCN’s report on Sanusi The decision to suspend the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Sanusi Lamido was based on a report of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria dated June 7, 2013. The report was made after a review of Sanusi’s response to the query issued to him by the President over the apex bank’s financial statement of 2012. His response was dated May 20, 2013. According to a copy of the report obtained by our correspondent on Thursday, the council indicates that the explanation provided by the suspended CBN governor is “a clear display of incompetence, nonchalance, fraud, wastefulness, and abuse of due process and deliberate efforts to misrepresent facts on the part of the leadership of the CBN.” The council advised the President to exercise the powers conferred on him by Section 11(2)(f) of the CBN Act 2007 or invoke Section 11(2)(c) of the said Act “and cause the governor and the deputy governors to cease from holding office in the CBN.” The report read: The particulars of the infractions against Sanusi are: Persistent refusal and/or negligence to comply with the Public Procurement Act in the procurement practices of the Central Bank of Nigeria. (A) By virtue of Section 15 (1)(a) of the Public Procurement Act, the provisions of the Act are expected to comply to ‘all procurement of goods, works and services carried out by the Federal Government of Nigeria and all procurement entities.’ This definition clearly includes the Central Bank of Nigeria. (B) It is however regrettable that the Central Bank of Nigeria, under his leadership, has refused and/or neglected to comply with the provisions of the Public Procurement Act (PPA). You will recall that one of the primary reasons for the enactment of the PPA was the need to promote transparency, competitiveness, cost of effectiveness and professionalism in the public sector procurement system. . It was enacted by the Reichstag (meeting at the Kroll Opera House), where non-Nazi members were surrounded and threatened by members of SA and SS. The Communists had already been repressed and were not able to vote, and some Social Democrats were kept away as well. In the end, nearly all of those present voted for the act, except for the Social Democrats, who voted against it.
