Good Day All and thank you all for your contributions. I just stumbled unto this topic/page yesterday night for the first time and this is exactly what one needs. The discussion (though am still on page 25 lol ) here have certainly helped me learn how to go about certain things/information with regards to Express entry and migration to Canada in general via PRP and Provincial.

My question to everyone (i don't want to start calling names so as to avoid not mentioning some names) is with regards SKILLS TRANSFERABILITY FACTORS (Maximum 100 points) UNDER Express Entry – Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Criteria and how it is calculated. I have an MSC over 10 years experience as an engineer, IELTS result of L=7, R=6.5, W=6.5, S=7 ie CBL7. Thanks you all in advance for your responses.

Greetings to all,

Please I need guidance on ECA. I have evaluated only my highest qualification which is an Msc in Petroleum Engineering as advised by some .But I am also interested in applying for a PNP with my BSc in Mechanical engineering ( not evaluated yet). Do I have to assess my BSc degree or is what I have sufficient? Thanks!!

It would be pretty difficult but the following will ensure you get the maximum score achievable with IELTS for the express entry.

LISTENING: 8
WRITING:7
SPEAKING:7

@ deking thanks alot, that means there is no need struggling with this Express Entry stuff.

because from the list os ITA i have seen so far the minimum scores are 450.

anyother way i can go about this pls advice ?

i just do not want to start paying this high fees for schooling again.

pls assist me.

i mate an agent in ontario that wants to charge me USD3500 for no input. i was just noding my head after his explaination

just thinking on the way forward.

deking:

Wondering why it will be difficult? The main hurdle here is his ietls and his ECA. HND evaluated with WES puts him a little above BSC cos he will choose two or more certificate. Except his spouse is not doing the ietls or being evaluated for her credentials.

Your maximum score achievable for ietls is CLB 10 not 9 as prescribed earlier. I v boldened the CLB 10 figures .

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp

My brother please calculate your maximum crs score yourself using the links on this forum. Its a cheaper route than schools. You dont have to use an agent cos na you go still write ietls, you can DIY.

P.S I just calculated for you assuming you are 30 by ITA and assuming you and your spouse have max English score, with your spouse having a BSC. You v 470 points

If your spouse even has 7 in all competencies you have 468 points. So it's more of you acing ietls than her.

If you have 8777 CLB 9 and your wife has 7777. You are on 456.

The choice is up to you bro, to quit or not. Remb English test is the game changer. grin

Once you can get above 400 you can position yourself for provincial nomination that comes up. But target getting higher. All the best

It would be pretty difficult but the following will ensure you get the maximum score achievable with IELTS for the express entry.

READING:8
LISTENING: 8.5
WRITING:7.5
SPEAKING:7.5

Thanks Bimpsy99 for re-posting what deking posted sometime ago because I was about asking the minimum CRS score that one can get to position himself/herself for Provincial nomination. Because with my age (35) and wife's score, that's the only alternative left for me to get more than 400 CRS score

I intend to re-write IELTS exams in November to boost my CRS score to at least 429. Previous score was R-6.5, W-6.5, L-7.0, S-7.0.

ANYMORE HELPFUL HINTS TO HIT CLB9/10 IS WELCOMED. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Hello everyone, i have read through the thread and gotten detailed information on the application process. However, i have few concerns, i calculated my CRS score to be 472, however i noticed the last set of people who have gotten ITA in the last few months got scores of over 500 and most provincial nomination programmes are closed. What assurance do i have of getting an ITA with a score of 472. Thanks

Patience. I have same score too.

Hi Tiwatope, do you mean you had your Unilag cert completely assessed by WES in less than 2months? Was it BSc or MSc?

Mine was BSc and it has taken forever. At the moment, WES is still waiting for verification from school and school says they havent got anything from WES . Kindly guide me on how you did it.Did you pay for Courier or regular mail, do you have any contact person that may be able to help?

Please help me.

@JesusDWay, you didnt quite get my question. I am wondering why it is taking forever for WES to evaluate my Unilag degree, i have been on it for over 4 months and wondering if anyone here has had their Unilag transcript evaluated faster by WES. Currently, the status on WES is 'Waiting for verification from institution' and Unilag is saying they have not received anything from WES.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!! undecided THANKS A LOT AND GOD BLESS[/quote]

You need to call wes , then also call unilag . Verification is done by Email also, this happened with OOU ,,,What must have happened was that unilag didnt get the verification email, so call wes or raise a complain that they shud resend the verification.

And follow up with unilag , my process took over two months I kept disturbing wes and oou the day oou finally replied the resent email, my report came the next day. Just an hint u can use internet call like mobile voip to call wes, cos its going to be a long call..or better still raise a complain on there website saying u want the verification resent. then follow up with unilag

Your best bet is to focus on getting PNP if you do not have anyone in Canada, have never been there and do not have a masters.

You can start by getting your credentials evaluated.
