Even people who built those houses know the risk involved but they still went ahead to erect structures under the high tension. Those lands have no C of O coz they are not from the state govt, they were sold to them by the greedy omoniles. There is an array of high tension close to my area and u need to see some good structures built under them, the shanties will not feel it too much coz they already know whats up.
The noise those high tension makes at Mid night should scare anybody who wants to build under them but na greed dey worry people.

this is long overdue. how can people be living under 330kv powerlines. is this not madness. ?imagine the damage it can do if anything happens. those things are extremely dangerous. if there is any fatality due to the powerlines people will come here and start blaming Mr devil. angry

Those power lines have always been there before the structure, those property owners will lose their properties. Why would a sane person buy or erect a building under an already existing power lines.
You can only have compensation if it's a new power line and it affects ur structure.

They would if the owners have Certificate of occupancy. You and I know that they don't. No one would give you certificate of occupancy for a land under high tension wire.

Yes you have hope but I know government wants to use that as excuse to raise more money because they can't do the demolition as so many houses in developed places in Lagos are under high tension wires from Ajah to ipaja to igando to surulere to fadeyi, palm groove, obanikoro, Maryland, Ojota and what have you.
