Re: Jimoh Ibrahim to Replace Eyitayo Jegede as PDP Guber Candidate in Ondo State…Jegede Remains Our Flag-Bearer in the November 26, 2016 Ondo Election - PDP

The Ruling of Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, Abuja today, Friday, October 14, 2016 does not in any way affect the matter of the PDP Candidacy in the forthcoming Ondo State Governorship Election. The issue of Ondo Governorship was not the matter before Justice Abang in the Suit. The matter before his Lordship was in relation to the 2019 General Elections.

For the avoidance of doubt, Hon. Eyitayo Jegede remains the Flag Bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Saturday, November 26, 2016 Ondo State Governorship Election.

We therefore call on all our members, teeming supporters and the electorates in Ondo state not to allow this Ruling to distract them; but should continue with the Guber campaigns to ensure the victory of our flag bearer, Hon. Eyitayo Jegede in the election.

And why was justice Abang not arrested by the DSS, are his judgements against PDP not controversial enough to raise suspensions?

That's why I keep saying that the purported anti-corruption campaign against the judiciary is mainly political as long as the like of Justice Okon Abang is still displaying this high level of rascality.

I told one of my friends that the PDP candidate judgment of Mr Eyitayo Jegede and Chief Jimoh Ibrahim will favour the Sheriff camp simply because Ali-Modu Sheriff is the real PDP chairman.

Ali has dined and wined with the devils in this country and he knows how to run his race taking from his past reputation as a betrayal like Ibrahim. Like Tinubu, he's one of the Nigeria politicians you can never use and dump. He has the money, power and connection.

I think Dr Mimiko must have a rethink once and for all. Accept Ibrahim Jimoh and settle the fracas between them. Until then, Chief Ibrahim will remain the candidate of the PDP as affirmed by Justice Okon Abang.

. Agbaje was a former key member of DSS board of Directors and governing council. He was the 2nd in command to the then Director Generals Kayode Are and Gadzama b4 retiring to join Inec.
