Buhari with all his failings and shortcomings is more patriotic than you ignoramus who opened a thread to demarket Nigeria just to score cheap domestic points.

You're an unpatriotic, insensitive, hypocritical quack who should be quarantined from making public statements until you get your patriotic priorities aright!

What Buhari said is less harmful and defamatory than what you blindly and ignorantly postulated here; https://www.nairaland.com/3327789/kenya-ahead-nigeria-all-aspect/3#49059003

Omo, olodo!
As a citizen, it Is my job to point out ills of my country. However, if you read the piece, I maintained that Nigeria has lots of potentials.

As President, it is his job to fix Nigeria and not demarket it.

BTW In that thread I urged Nigerians to join hands to fix the country instead of engaging in e-fights

That was why he gave that response he wasn't faulting her either, any argument with a woman is and are always futile, as a retired general what advice do you think a " tiny" woman like her would give to him?

I will end this piece by congratulating the 21 returnee Chibok school girls and their family for the reunion despite the challenges they went through. It is my prayer that other innocent girls are returned back.

May God Bless Us All and Bless Nigeria

Why not congratulate the FG for successfully returning them.

1. Frying Pan
2. Spoons
3. Plates
4. Aisha Buhari
5. "Turning Stick". Happy weekend my people.

Soyinka called Madam Patience a domestic appendage of the presidency with no powers to wield because she was meddling in Rivers State Politics. He was right to call her to order. However, the context is totally different here. Aisha Buhari has not made any kind of impositions, and has not used her position as First Lady to influence anything. She simply expressed her concerns about this administration, the right to do so belongs to every citizen. Honestly, she would be insensitive if she weren't concerned given the current situation.

President Buhari's response was to dismiss her opinion as being of no consequence. He did not credit her concerns to be the valid concerns of a Nigerian citizen but instead saw her gender and relegated her into the background in this derogatory fashion implying that "his woman" is only good to cook his meals and grace his bed. And now, his thoughtless remark is being touted to have been a joke?

He missed and opportunity to actually BE light spirited. He could have laughed it off saying: Yes, the situation in Nigeria right now is such that many have lost faith. But I still believe and there is no doubt in my mind that my wife, along with many other Nigerians, will be converted before that time. We are turning things around.

I see nothing wrong including buhari's comment, he paid her dowry and not us, he is a Muslim and a core northerner, gender equality doesn't exist in their dictionary. All those crying foul especially women are just bunch of hypocrites. .

[b]Nah, you belittled Nigeria falsely without taking accounts of facts.

You said Kenya is ahead of Nigeria in all aspects, that's the tittle of your thread. It is more horrendous than it is misleading.

The sheer monstrosity of your weak lies!!!

Kenya's poverty rate is 43% Nigeria's , by 2015 world bank standard is 33%

Nigeria's PPP and middle class is larger than Kenya's on sheer numbers and percentage!

Nigeria has more geopolitical tentacles than Kenya.

Our multinationals are spread in western and eastern African countries than Kenya's!

You mentioned mobile money about kenya but it never crossed your mind that only poor countries without world standard banking institution and infrastructure operate mobile banking like Kenya does. The world is on E and internet banking not mobile banking.

Only 42 percentage of Kenyans are connected to their national power grid despite being just twice the population of Lagos.

Nigeria is 50% despite vandalism from gas installations.

You owe every Nigerian a front page apology for your ignorant thread!

Did you point out this so called ills when Jonathan and his band of kleptomaniacs looted this country dry?

All you did was give him the hero status just to satisfy your zest for attention and defame any who doesn't tow your line of political prostitution.

If you really urged Nigerians to fix the country in that thread, and not seek cheap attention which I know you're invariably married to, you'd have come out lampooning all who has set this country back a thousand years by virtue of their plundering of the nations wealth, including Jonathan who stood idle and watch as Nigerians die!.

Well not saying he should argue with her, a simply remark like "sorry, I don't discuss my family" or something like "My wife would be my Campaign manager in the next election" or something sarcastic would have saved us the troubles

Your thread has gone viral as Kenyans kept tweeting and re-tweeting your thread of lies!

In your bid to discredit the government of Buhari(which I don't care a rat's fart about) you murdered Nigeria with your mindless hands and desperate need for the spotlight!

You cut off Nigeria's head to cure a boil in her leg! But why Tonye? Your ignorance is markedly authentic and genuine in weight and mass!

Joke as in how? The verbal version of the comics he's fond of reading? I wonder why APC operatives and supporters never think things through! In this time where there is heightened sensitivity about the role of women and equality of the sexes that is when the mightily daft n dull president, standing beside a world leader who happens to be female, decides to make a tasteless, sexist statement about where she belongs and they call it a joke!

Do u guys realise the implications on our image worldwide? Did he even need to address his wife's interview via the press? What happened to a private conversation whether via telephone or face to face? What do u mean by saying that Garba says it's a joke and it should be left that way? That Nigerians are not allowed to have independent thoughts and opinions or he's the only one qualified to interprete the President's spoken words? Jokers!

They just don't get it. The statement by the President is sexist, demeaning and derogatory to women . And I'm not not surprise majority of posters don't get it. They are all products of a society who sees women as nothing but a second class citizens.

But what's is annoying is seeing women who should be annoyed supporting rubbish which shows we still have a long way to go.

yeah! I understand you perfectly...........but does the first lady seem to understand her roles as a woman, wife, mother, first lady and an equal gendered ? going by this her contributions.

As a wife and a mother what she did is wrong. None of her misgivings should have been said in public except if their marriage is at the point of no return . But she's not an elected candidate like the President which means her words doesn't carries much weight as the President.

It is rather unfortunate that some of us do not know when or how to speak. And if Mrs. Aisha is any wise, it is time to retrace her steps and salvage what's left. We thank God that Buhari did not grant her the powers of Turai or Sheepo;

Take note of the people supporting Mrs. Buhari and their general mindsets.

She did not bother commending the President on
- Release of Chibok girls
- Attempts to clean up the judiciary
- Stolen funds that are being recovered

I'll limit it to these for now
- The opulence she displayed at inaug,. and replying to Fayose were 2 big fails, she has terrible friends and advisers
- She had candidates who she wanted to get positions but were probably not qualified and Buhari did not oblige
- The appointed individuals were not people she knows (man knows man)

Even APC spokesman is supporting this nonsense, citing Saraki as "our leader" absurd!

If Mrs Buhari wants to remain relevant to the planned progress of this country, she needs coaches to help her or she should stay out of limelight. Mrs. Osinbajo is not any less educated than the President's wife.

But if she is done with the marriage and possibly plans to run for political office on her own clout, I would say there is nothing wrong with continuing in the same path although I doubt that she will carry her ward.

I have tried to be respectful in my post and apologies if I fell short.

What kind of friend or family will say such about you to the world Or did she not realize what she just did??

The bottomline is that Aisha will be the only one to suffer if anything happens to Buhari. The so-called friends of Buhari will desert her. Her outcry is in order. Take a look at Yar'Adua and Abacha's wives. If Abacha's wife had stepped up to her husband's shenanigan, her family's position in Nigeria would have been different.

Nigerians are so accustomed to tacit response to oppression that whoever has effontry to speak out will be addressed in derogatory terms. I guess Jesus has to come down from heaven to speak up and fix Nigeria.

Don't console yourself yet, Buhari still gets his people, people like me anyday anytime. Aisha should have given Mr president the lists of people she knew since the time she has married to PMB then for cabinet members composition. Crappy statement.

Don't mind them. GEJ was worse than PMB, never heard mama piss dishing him on BBC or any national or international media. Calling your husband clueless and powerless on international channel, PMB was even nice with words on her. The woman is getting back to the Mr president for whatever the reason best known to her and her husband. Mr president needs to be practical about where she indeed belongs, drop her sorry a$$ at villa.

Aisha as I know is already regretting her out burst on Buhari in this country of wailers who doesn't see any thing good in his husband and the present administration. Imagine her saying she could only recognize about five(5) out of fifty (50) appointees in his government as if the remaining 45 are not Nigerians, from now and for a long time to come and without being told she will just glue her self to the kitchen and the common room in the Aso rock as she may not have that chance again to represent Mr. President on any public occasion as she has short her door to such occasions.
