Yes, they said in their advert that shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews, but think of it; how do you think FIRS is going to interview thousands of applicants for a few hundred slots or maybe a thousand slots thereabout? There has to be some form of streamlining to cut down on the numbers. That is the way it has always been done especially in private firms; at least that was how I got my job in 2012 with the bank I work with now. About 70,000 applicants applied, about 65,000 were invited for a CBT, about 12,000 who passed the CBT were invited for Assessment centre excercise, out of which 1100 of us got the job. I am sure more than 70,000 people applied for this FIRS job; the streamlining has started already - some applicants already getting regret mails. Next will be CBT and . . .

I know and i'm very sure they can cut people using CV's and all and they can still cut people with interviews..all i'm saying you people should stop assuming for them...if they wanted test I think they would have stated it clearly..it is just a four letter word na

madam i know what CBT is and I know various companies that perform various test on behalf of companies but the guy doesn't know it takes millions of naira to perform test on behalf of companies so why is he assuming on behalf of FIRS like he is part of the HR department....they said interview....just wait for the next step and stop spreading false information

Why is employment by FIRS so enticing? I really want to understand. I heard the monthly salary is about 150k. Are there any allowances? Are there any perks? Pls, someone in the know, educate me. I just would like to know why so many people want by all means to work for FIRS.

Pls, is it that unsuccessful applicants got rejection mail, while others got success mail, or is it that it was only unsuccessful applicants that were contacted by mail. Someone clarify pls.

Just as any Parastatal in nigeria ,eg FIRS, PENCOM, PPPRA ..... in my own view, I will say it's like an upgrade from the normal civil service jobs available. Bigger salaries and incentives and less redundancies(eg Ghost workers).

Yea...Someone said on one of these nairaland threads that FIRS gives their officers one bulk sum of money each year i.e apart from their monthly salaries. Is that true or one of those speculations we encounter here?
