I went to the CAC online portal http://services.cac.gov.ng/login and registered on the protal. I made a request for the name availability search for my business name and paid 500 naira which is the cost for name search through their website with my ATM card. After I made the payment, I got two mails acknowledging the name search request and the payment which was made and also got a payment receipt from REMITA. I proceed to register the business and paid 10,000 naira via bank. i also got a payment receipt from REMITA for the name seach. I printed two copies of receipt of payment for name search, business name, passport and the approval of business name and went to submit at CAC office in lagos island for filing. On getting to the office, i was asked to also provide CAC receipt of payment for both name search and business registration. I could not found that i my portal and i need help on how to get the CAC receipt of payment for both name search and business registration in other to proceed with my filing

pls help. when registering my business name, I made a mistake of paying 10,000 with my personal name instead of the approved business name. I applied for refund but was told to bring the CAC receipt for the payment. I can't find the receipt anywhere in my portal.

Take the receipt given to you at the bank to CAC office close to you and explain to them... Remember to take along your Remita number...

You are just unlucky and again inexperience, most of the staff in cac state offices have not been adequately trained.
I have been registering for people as my side hustle for the past two years and sometimes what you don't know, you don't know.

From the info you gave, I'm not sure you printed the final PDF copy, signed and affix the two passport photograph to it and then upload on the cac upload portal. If you have done that, the collection office would be able to work on it. Without the upload successful done and you click submit, you have not done anything.

The fact that the person you were able to get through to told you to take two pictures along further proved my assumption.

Normal process is
1) Complete application and pay the prescribed fees
2) Print the PDF form, the RRR receipt and the official receipt.
3) Login to upload portal with your availability code and Upload the signed with passport attached, the availability result, Payment proof (RRR receipt and CAC official receipt) and any other documents (if available)
4) Click submit
5) Go to the collection centre with the copies of above but don't submit originals yet.
6) You will get notification in your mail or be checking your cac profile daily for possible query/registration approval. (usually within 7 working days)

Always make sure your details are coherent and easy to access e.g. clear scanned documents because once you get your application queried, it may another one month before you get it sorted.
