2)wot type of aesthetics do want to achieve, cos building is a form of tourism status. In dis regard, d latest in roof aesthetics r in d following order, d stonetiles, metcopo aluminum design, steptiles alum design and then d regular alum design, d price is as well big in d same order, so ur pocket and choice determine which u wants to choose.
3)Ur choice on d type of d roofing sheet will determine d roof skeleton to b erected, mind u d cost of d skeleton is affected by d cost of roofing sheet u chose. for instance, stonetiles, takes more wood due to specific spacing of d woods hence increase one number of wood to b bought and corresponding increase on money to spent..

Your decision should be, what type of building finish do you have in mind. If you are looking at a moderate finish with a good look, go for long span aluminium , or go a little higher and do the step tiles aluminium like Oga Rotecch77 has said.

If you are loaded, go for the stone coated roofing tiles, but look out for the better quality so it does not fade away and dissapoint you.

I have also used a few Korean made roofing tiles and they are still looking good after some years.
But that does not mean there are no other quality roofing tiles out there. There are still some very good ones I have seen, looks very good and even cheaper, but I have not used those.

I took my time to search through this forum for a guide or a primer on the various types of roofing sheets, their costs, pros and cons and so on but couldn't find any.

It all depend on your budget for the project, but if you really have what it takes (Money), a material with high performance and long lasting end could have been the best option. For instance, we have two different grades of stone coated step tile {i.e. 0.45 and 0.55 mm SWG}; the 0.55 mm gauge being the best quality is expected to cost you almost double of what it will required to roof with ordinary Aluminum long span.

Although, apart from the aesthetics value of stone coated roof tile, it more advantageous and modern to any other roofing materials at the moment, but most people has resolved at using whatever they can afford at the moment due to the economic situation in the country currently.

Whichever way it is, if you are using any of the Aluminum roofing sheet {Step tile Aluminum, Long Span Aluminum or Metro coppo} Make sure you buy quality 0.55 mm gauge
