Soldiers Missing, Injured As Boko Haram Attacks Troops Base by Limitednow: 7:02pm On Oct 18, 2016
SEVERAL soldiers have been declared missing after Boko Haram terrorists on Monday evening attacked their location at Gashigar, a border area with Niger Republic in the northern part of Borno State.








This was revealed by the spokesman of the Nigerian Army, Colonel Sani Usman, on Tuesday.


Usman said though the troops did their best to defend the location, their efforts were in vain.


He added: “In the process, 13 soldiers sustained injuries while some are still missing in action.”


Usman said the temporary setback made the troops to withdraw from the location.


The wounded soldiers have also been evacuated and are receiving treatment, while efforts are ongoing in the search for those missing.


Usman equally said troops have mobilised to clear the Boko Haram terrorists in the general area.

As in ehn, sometimes I want to be sure I understand English properly. Even our commander in chief, The Great Emperor Cassandra himself has repeatedly announced to the world that Boko has been successfully depeated and every inch of Nigerian soil has been reclaimed.

Very much better than the dark days where barracks are over ran, with terrorists taping their victory and catching fleeing soldiers on tape. This is a temporary set back that can happen in every other place. God bless the Nigeria Army!

I don't think they would be that Foolish to attack the military base

They wouldn't wanna jeopardize their romantic relationship with Buhari

You see how Buhari released the captured Boko Haram members and in return they released the Chibok girls ??

Attacking the military base would is not a good idea and it's bad for business, when next they want a favor from Buhari it will be accomplished

It is very obvious now that the war with Boko Haram is far from over - even the C-in-C knows this. Living in denial is a form of " corruption ".
Who equips BH to be able to withstand the might of the Nigerian Armed Forces . Or is there conspiracy where some people are benefiting from the war and would rather it continues? I wonder.

Maybe one of the terms for the swap last week was the location of the all Army base in the North East or they released some top commanders that can identify such places cos this is increasing
