I was a little late to the android party. I took the plunge mid 2013 during my undergraduate days. BlackBerry was the order of the day, if u weren't using one shame on you.
Then it all happened, a friend brought a Tecno N3 to class, instantly I felt like throwing away my BlackBerry bold 9780, a phone that was the love of my life just a couple minutes earlier.
Fast forward 2 months later, I bought the Tecno phantom F7 for 35k shortly after it was launched and I've not looked back ever since.

I won't be surprised. The craze for touchscreen phones was starting and coupled with the fact that Tecno phones were super affordable then.

Whenever I try using android phones for hotspot to download apps above 100mb the app store doesn't load?

yes. my first Android phone was tecno t3, an ancient version of the n3. bought it Sept 2012. the ram was about 193mb. it was always hanging and slow and the battery life was a case study. what really annoyed me was that about 2 weeks later the n3 came out. when I saw a friend rocking his n3 I wanted to die.
