The money might follow due process but what service or services did he render to be paid that amount the case is not lost did he render any services to them before he was paid sure amount and don't forget the job of the cbn guy is just to disburse the money he is right.

Ok... he got it through the right channel... My question is: isnt 2.1 billion too much for whatever service dokpesi was to deliver? ?

However if people say a 10 million watch is not too much for 1 person to wear, or 180 million naira car not too much to use.... who am I to judge wat Dokpesi is paid?

However may God continue to punish Buharo for the suffering in Nigeria today, until he changes to do the right thing...

Buhari is a thief...
the funniest part is dat AIT annual earning is just a billion naira above that amount

It is very unfortunate that this govt just waste its time and energy in pursuing what is not. I am very happy that the truth is beginning to come out. After all the rubbish that were said about Dokpesi, see what we are hearing now. It is rather sad. The truth shall always come out. I just wish that Dasuki would have his day in court. Buhari should allow his prosecution to commence in public glare.

He never said so. He has always said that he collected money for a legitimate contract with the Govt.

CBN followed due process in disbursing the money. That first of all means Daar communication can no longer deny getting money from NSA. The next question is, was the said money meant for media campaign or for arms purchase, that is the real bone of contention. Thank you for making me read it again, it was even the defence counsel that did the cross examination. Except EFCC has a bad lawyer, this witness indirectly helps their case, so Dokpesi should not shout uhuru yet.
Dokpesi is a business man and is claiming to carry out a business for which he was paid through the proper channels. This case is not about establishing whether the money was supposed to be for arms deal but whether Dokpesi deserves to go to jail for money laundering or whatever.

Buhari is after Dokpesi because of the role AIT played during the run up to the election.

DAAR is a business that got paid for adverts and documentaries that were promoted through their network, just like any other TV & radio station.

Buhari's camp even had to bar AIT from covering the activities of the then president elect Buhari? It took public outcry and comments about Buhari's intolerance to opposition before that decision was rescinded. Left to Buhari, everyone who had a role to play in that election against his candidature would have been clamped in jail.

Did Dokpesi render a service to The FG or to PDP?why should the office of The NSA through CBN make payment for a service rendered on behalf of PDP?

Is there an upper limit to what private service provider can charge? No! I'd have charged more because my services aren't cheap, its obscene! grin Are your services cheap? grin

Re: Dasukigate: Dokpesi Got N2.1billion Through Due process - EFCC Witness by DanielPop(m): 8:21am On Oct 20, 2016
Nonsense. I charge in USD. That would have been $2.1bn had it been me that got that media job. Do you know how much Tinubu and APC paid David Axelrod? Going by your argument, Axelrod payment would have been enough to pay social security to jobless Lagosians as well as create genuine jobs for omo niles and get them off our backs for good. Comot here abeg! There should be a budget for social security ...and also for media jobs!

Richer by 2.1B naira of the money meant for the development of a 3 world sh*t hole. All thanks to GEJ.

Wouldn't it be better if that money is paid as child benefit to children under 10 years old in Nigeriahuh

A nigerian family just arrived one of the 1st world countries on green card, within 3months..the goverment started paying $700 for his children upkeep into his account everymonth. The guy said he curses all those that destroyed and are still destroying naija every morning he wakes up from sleep in the morning. grin

Not just dokpesi, every other person being prosecuted by the EFCC might still be free to walk.

This is what happens when u don't investigate properly b4 harassing people or using media to try them even when u have not done ur job. @ the end of the day, these men might still sue EFCC for all they are worth. If not for anything, for tarnishing their images. EFCC might not be alone in this, some media houses might be involved too.

I am not in any way suggesting that all those accused are innocent oh, no, but I think a proper investigations should be conducted 1st b4 arresting anyone.

From the way judges are being treated, many of them will be against the FG.
Exactly my take, bro.
Those guys are just fun of condemning suspects, especially if you are of the opposition before the court processes begin.

Dokpesi is not on trial for being a media expert. CBN following due process in confirming payment to Dokpesi only confirms that Dokpesi received money and that the bank complied with its internal system. It doesn't free him from criminal allegation. It may have exonerated CBN from culpability.

I may be wrong but am not aware that CBN is allowed to dole out money direct to individuals, they usually have to use banks for that. The bank is trying to protect herself by not admitting they did anything wrong. What EFCC is concern with at this point is that Dokpesi actually received the said money and then tie it to the Dasuki money and then tie the Dasuki money to Boko haram arms purchase. So CBN staff saying it was through the right channel does not change anything for now. When the time to face CBN comes, it will be investigated if paying money direct to individuals is a right channel or not.
u're right, however, u support buhari's vandetta against mr dasuki who might b innocent of what he is being accused of. Same cbn process is still being followed till tomorrow.

The problem is now for ONSA to prove why he has to pay money from His office for campaign and not Dokpesi.

He has won the case already, because when you get paid for a job, you don't ask where the money is coming from, he was paid and he delivered.

Abi, if someone gave you a job and his daughter or his co-worker in the office, would you start probing where the money is coming from or why he didn't pay himself?

And some people are talking about if the money is too much for a deal, there is no where i have ever heard of EXCESSIVE PROFIT or where there are price tag for goods and commodities or services rendered.

A business man can decide to set any price he wants, and a customer can decide to buy or walk away.

Nope, he kept saying he collected money for the services he rendered. If you employ a labourer to work on your farm and agree to pay him/her certain amount, it's not the concern of the labourer how you get the money. All he needs is to be paid. We can only lay the blame on all those unpatriotic leaders who are gambling with the common wealth of the nation just because they were or are in power. It's quite unfortunate.

Escaped me, yes payment followed due process but question is payment for what? Media whatever. What business does office of the NSA have with paying for media? Did the so called contract award follow due process. I am not sure but I believe all of that is going to come to play

the case isn't about whether or not d cbn followed due process in disbursing d money to dansuki (they did, if not they will be prosecuted), the issue is whether or not dansuki knowingly received money meant for arm deals from dansuki. If he did he is guilty, it doesnt matter whether cbn followed due process.
