This is why I still believe that democracy is the worst form of government for Africans. The case of Libya is a clear example. If you are a leader and know that you will remain in that position for a long time or even a life time, you will do all you can to make your kingdom a better place and hold everyone and everything that try to sabotage your efforts accountable. But when you know that you only have limited time, all you can think of is to gather all you can while the opportunity last since we Africans are not patriotic naturally. GEJ and the likes of Dasuki were fighting for survival. So wasting all the resources of the nation to their own personal and selfish benefits were little of their concern. |

Ubenedictus:It seems you don't get it. Upholding morality and law are two different things. That is one of the reasons why many good cases are lost in court. Whether he knew or not is not the issue since he is just a private business man. Let's assume your state government or local government or even a private firm awards you a contract, are you going to refuse collecting your money after the completion of the services just because you want to know the source of the money? |

Innomach:It is an issue my dear, an employee may receive payment from his employer, mr jonathan employer dokpesis for campaign purposes and then he recieved payment from d nigerian military. it is a crime if he was aware, that isnt morality tha is criminal conspiracy to defraud d federal government |

deji68:Central bank does not evaluate contract, they disburse and keep fund, what d cbn guy said is that the cbn followed due process in disbursing d fund, all disbursement protocol were followed, the got d letter granting dokpesi d money and confirmed it. they didnt say d contract was right, they dont evaluate contracts. |

Well i know central bank does not Evaluate contracts, but there is no way CB will not go through the paper trail of the contract before paying 2 billion naira....it not A small amount. ....and if they are satisfied that mean the Nigerian state through it central bank is paying Dokpesi for doing a legitmate business. ... but let wait for the court . That sorry was highly misplaced you really need that sorry the day you refuse to use your senses in a democratic system of government that base on rule of law . Is only zombies that will jump the gun without allow due process or judiciary arm of govt as a competent court to judge cases, as it primary obligation . It only a zombies that will be jealous of dying on someone 2.1 billion business without knowing the full details of their transaction . Finally am not supporting any bloody politicians but am in support of rule of law in a democratic system of government , any politicians judged and found guilty by court must be sentence accordingly. Media trial can't convict anybody. charliboy654: |

| Re: Dasukigate: Dokpesi Got N2.1billion Through Due process - EFCC Witness by Ubenedictus(m): 12:42pm On Oct 20, 2016 |
deji68:the cbn doesnt need to follow paper trails, it isnt an investigative institution, it is a bank, the account belongs to the nsa and he signed and confirmed that the money should be given to dopkesi. The disbursing protocols were followed. But it isnt d work of cbn to check d legality of d contract. Infact d cbn guy simply absolved the cbn from crime. He is clearly telling us that dokpesi received arms money from d nsa, that point has been established. The testimony only helps d case. |

Thanks u last Submission though....there is no part where the cbn official inferred that money came from "arms money" mind u he is a prosecuton witness his submission might hurt the case... but thanks for a nice Civil discussion Dont know how this will help the prosecution see below “Because they have complied with all the due process. We are comfortable and the process is legitimate to us,” said Mr. Mohammed. Ubenedictus: |
