In a bid to tackle security challenges facing the state, Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa on Thursday (20/10/2016) at Government House presented ten (10) Toyota Hilux Vans to the Delta State Police Command with a promise to provide more once the finances of the state improves.

According to Governor Okowa, the vehicles will help the special pokice units created to address security challenges in the state.

Receiving the vehicles, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, Mr Zannah Ibrahim thanked Governor Okowa for the gesture and assured that the police in the state will put the vehicles into good use.

The presentation ceremony was attended by the State Chairman of PDP, Barr. Kingsley Esiso, Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Festus Ovie Agas, Hon. Barr. Samuel Mariere, members of the State Executive Council and top government functionaries.
