Take Stocks Of Your Appointees, Islamic Scholar Tells Buhari.. by BeeBeeOoh(op): 3:48pm On Oct 22, 2016
The National Missioner and Chief Imam of Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Sheikh Abdulrahman Ahmad, has said the current socio-economic challenges facing Nigeria would be short-lived and urged President Muhammadu Buhari to look inward for solutions.

He said every Nigerian is not exempted from the nation’s current trial.

The renowned Islamic scholar who recently joined the league of 500 most influential Muslims in the world spoke with Daily Trust in Lagos even as he expressed confidence in the steps being taken by the President to salvage the country's situation.

However, he said the President must always look inwards in whatever steps he is taking and ensure that he is in constant touch with the people in all his actions.

He said, "We need to take stocks; the President must take stocks from time to time. Look at those who are working with him, are they the right people? Are they doing enough themselves? If the administration wants to fight corruption, he must constantly look inwards. Are there corrupt people within the administration?

"These are very fundamental questions and they must at every point in time connect with the people no matter how well intentioned they are; if they are disconnected from the people, then it is not going to work."

Ahmad said though the country is facing "tough and hard times," Nigerians must not lose hope.

He said Nigeria must move from being a consumption nation to a productive one through massive industrialization.

He said he was shocked by the mention of his name in the 2017 edition of 'The Muslim 500', the publication chronicling 500 most influential Muslim personalities in the world.

According to him, this has placed a challenge on him to bear it in mind that his actions apart from being watched by God Almighty, "there are people from afar who are also watching".

Sheikh Ahmad was the new entrant in the publication which featured names of President Buhari; Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Mohammad Sa'ad; Emir of Kano, Alhaji Mohammed Sanusi; Secretary General of Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Prof. Is'haq Oloyede and former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Prince Bola Ajibola.

Habiba would disagree. The pedophile emir of Katsina movde with no fear of the fedreal government. Kidnapping 14 girl in Kaduna then holding her hostage in Katsina. Then he's pretty quite on cattle herdsmen murders but wants to be sugar daddy asking for nation wide cattle reserves.
