According to Chidi Odinkalu who shared the story,the Federal Ministry of Education has apparently banned Old Students Association from school premises.Below is what he wrote....

Habba, what is having oldboys secretariat inside school premises? I am an old student of my school we do so many projects but we have never held our meeting inside the school premises, the only time we visit my alma mater is when we are going for project inspections and during the yearly Inter house sports.

The circular is limited to Old Students having their secretariat within the premises of Federal Government Colleges! Why the misleading heading? angry

The Old Students having their secretariat within the premises gave them unfettered access to the present students and they don't subject themselves to the security arrangement of the school. Which old Student will dare that with the Reverend Sisters in charge of MCSS Ikeja! cheesy

This is actually uncalled for. My Alma Mater (King's College) have achieved remarkable success due to the intervention of the the KCOBA (Kings College Old Boy's Association. this government needs to redirect its policy to realities of 21st Centuries. their presence in school premises serves as a memory lane
