The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has accused Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, of allegedly ordering the removal of the Radio Biafra page from his platform. IPOB told Zuckerberg that God will set an example with him for aligning with President Buhari to oppress them. The group also accused the Facebook owner of suppressing freedom of speech and expression, adding that he will see the judgement of God upon him. facebook has being shutting down pages for unknown reasons recently without informing their admins, this is becoming outrageous . many people including me are not happy, mark Zuckerberg's wall is full of people wailing about shutdown pages, but the guy doesn't give a damn, thats bad................ well the IPOB matter one side. I have a page(on Facebook), I created and then, I added some admin. suddenly, I find out that I am not the one running page again. and I have synchronize it with my twitter acct. I was annoyed with Facebook o. The guy just dey use free contact. |

samuelchimmy: Facebook is not a political forum for waging anti-government wars. It is a platform for people to exchange and advance mankind, individually and collectively. Radio Biafra is already an outlet serving the anti-government rhetoric. So why is Radio Biafra going to facebook to be heard? Is nobody listening to them on their own, and they need to piggyback on facebook for broader coverage? Facebook has done nothing wrong. Radio Biafra lacks popularity even amongst Biafrans. They prefer to come to Nairaland and facebook to air grievance than do it on their radio. Hausas converge on their radio to get news. Why cant Biafra do that.
