Did they not elect governors, senators, reps, chairmen, councillors? Or did the northerners force those people on them? Was their brother not the president for 6yrs? Why did he not correct the anomalies?
Though their agitations are reasonable, but their main problem is laziness. Most of this people do not want to work and they are not ready to work. They want free money paid into their accounts monthly.
I just hope that this present negotiations will lead to a desirable conclusion for all. Africa needs to progress and we should to do away with all these issues that'll keep dragging us back.

The traditional oil producing Niger delta states are Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa-Ibom and Cross Rivers. Abia, Ondo, Imo were later additions. Anambra State was recently added in 2012 by the president to make up the ten oil-producing states.

Even in times of war, there is always room for negotiations. 2 leaders of waring factions or countries sometimes meet face to face. It is not out of place for the military to be on alert with whatever code name, while channels for negotiations are opened.
In b/w when military deals with militants, u come online and shout fake militants, innocent citizens, the useless elders too will scream their people are being targeted, but when the military tone down, u say they are cowards. So much from confused lots.
