While the iPhone 7's new high-spec camera is a welcome addition to any wannabe photographer's arsenal, it doesn't quite do the trick for seasoned snappers.

That's why Kodak has just unveiled the Ektra, a smartphone specifically designed for photographers.

It boasts a 21-megapixel fast focus camera with f2.0 aperture, and a competition-smashing 13-megapixel front-facing camera.

A sleek looking phone with impressive specs, the $550 Ektra is sure to generate some serious competition when it is released in December.

Another f2.0 camera. Samsung cameras have a wider f1.7 aperture.

The specs won't be enticing!! The only advantage would be the camera!! Out of that $550, $450 na for camera alone! They should just focus on their camera line and leave phones for the pros!

Nope, it is a phone camera. Seriously I don't see this breaking the market. Serious snappers would still prefer a DSLR camera while casual snappers will still chose an iPhone, a samsung galaxy, HTC or LG. Having a phone with a huge camera at the back just don't entice people. To cut costs and sellbthe phone at affordable price, they will have to tone down the specs like ram, processor, screen resolution and build quality. These are what matters to most people abd not some gigantic camera. Go and ask samsung what happened with the galaxy zoom, ask Nokia what hapoened with the 808 pureview.

And u think this will sell like samsung, HTC, lg , iphone or even tecno? I don't think so. If I want a proper camera will get a DSLR camera rather than an underspec'd phone with a huge camera lens. Remember Lumia 808 and samsung galaxy zoom?
