First, I must appreciate you all on this section of the forum. Its been of great help for more than 3years now.
My Car is a golf3, 1.8L Engine, Automatic. Just about a week ago, I had a long trip of about 10hours straight. On getting to Lagos, I parked, but to restart the engine 10mins after, the engine didn't start. I had to force the accelerator before the engine came on, but on engaging the gear, it went off again. I left it for like two hours, and it was fine again, did the return journey without any problem.

However, just today, I experienced thesame issue, after turning off the engine, it refused to start, which is so unusual. What could be wrong with the car?

what made you feel is the kick starter ?fallacy of hasty generalisation.For your Information ,if the engine is rolling and not starting ,it is not the kick starter ,the op should check ignition system and fuel system

Yes ignition system. Also fuel delivery system should be checked

Thanks for all you help.

The car only does that after long trips of about 300KM, then it gets back to normal.
