Ben Bruce Foundation is the brain child and vision of Senator Ben Murray Bruce. A lot of us may not be aware but a silent philanthropist as he is, pays fees of several hundreds of children in different levels of education. He had been paying fees of the less privileged even before the official inauguration of the foundation as we came to understand. Through the foundation, he has empowered dozens of widows and currently champions a war against sexual defilement and domestic violence in partnership with Lagos State Domestic Violence Team. This year again we are coming together along with other partners like Unilever Plc to put a smile on the faces of the less privileged in our midst. At the risk of becoming a "self trumpeter", I say again because we did this last year December and we have started this year. It is our hope that we can do more than we did last year.

It is also our hope that, this will inspire those of us with very capable means and wherewithal to reach out to the less privileged. Recession or no recession, the poor will always be with us. Let's together make Nigeria and the world at large a better place. Put a smile on somebody's face today.

Thanks ricy20... sometimes we are so busy making money that we neglect the poor and less privileged in our midst.

@lalasticlala... I don't know what it will take to get this to make FP.. but I think in this recession charitable acts like this should inspire courage and hope.

There are those in the class of Ben Murray Bruce who have no single traceable acts of charity, other than flaunting new cars and luxurious accessories. No one is a saint but every opportunity to give back to society shouldn't be taken for granted.

Murray Bruce and his foundation should start this from Bayelsa.
